Of particular concern for Massachusetts is the toxic wastewater produced by fracking, writes John Rumpler of Environment America. After each frack operation, wastewater comes back up the well containing toxics such as benzene, corrosive salts, and even radioactive material. Other states are considering proposals to ban fracking wastewater. That’s the least we should do here.
