When the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced in October a postseason ban starting next year for teams harboring graduation rates well under 50 percent, it was very bad news for defending men’s national basketball champion Connecticut. The Huskies’ current graduation success rate is so appalling low at 25 percent overall and 14 percent for black players, it cannot hope to improve fast enough for 2013 March Madness.
