The poor judgment of Judge G. Thomas Porteous

The Senate just voted to convict impeached US District Judge G. Thomas Porteous. Prosecutors charged that, the wake of debt he accrued due to drinking and gambling problems, Porteous "began accepting cash, meals, trips, and other favors from people with business before his court, beginning as a state judge in the 1980s and continuing after he was appointed to the federal bench by Clinton in 1994."
It's a sad case, but I couldn't help but laugh at one of the accusations: that G.T. Porteous filed for bankruptcy under the false name "G.T. Ortous" (he claims it was to avoid embarrassment).
That's not very smooth. It reminds me of a scene from back when "Family Guy" was good:
