Merrill & Co. beverage director Kevin Mabry tells me that the seafood restaurant opens this evening. (It was one of my most-anticipated March openings, so I'm happy.)

The executive chef is Jason Cheek, who used to work at KO Prime. Merrill & Co. is brought to you by BiNA Hospitality, the team behind Bogie's Place, jm Curley, Bin 26 Enoteca, and Lala Rokh.

Eater spotlights some menu standouts, including hush puppies, sweet tea fried chicken, and homemade hot sauce.

The restaurant is right next to the upcoming Wink & Nod speakeasy: a cool block indeed.

Merrill & Co., 1 Appleton St., South End, Boston, 617-728-0728
