Longtime shopping mecca Burlington is also becoming a hotbed of culinary intrigue: There's The Bancroft, coming soon from the team behind Gibbet Hill Grill; there's Noodles & Co., Clover, even a massive Wegmans and a burger joint from Bobby Flay. Happily, legendary chef Lydia Shire is also planning to open a restaurant there this fall. I'm told that the concept will be different than her current Boston restaurant, the Liberty Hotel's tasty Scampo. She says it's too early to talk details, but one thing's for sure: A Shire restaurant will give the town an even bigger boost.
