This is perhaps my favorite, most gratifying Restaurant Hub blog post to date: Xi'an Famous Foods plans to open in Boston, says DNAinfo New York. The Chinese noodle shop opened in Flushing in 2005; since then, it's gained a cult following throughout New York City for its tinglingly spicy, hand-ripped noodles. Noodles (strappy, chewy, delicious) are typically seared in hot oil and commingled with delicacies like stewed oxtail and cumin lamb. Xi'an also make an excellent, hand-held cumin lamb burger. A half-decade seems like a long time to pine, but really, as any New Yorker will tell you, these noodles are worth waiting for (and people do wait, often in line for hours at a time). Drool over the full menu here.
