Last night, the local interwebs swirled with sadness as news broke that the South End's much-loved Delux Cafe had closed, complete with an alarming "RIP" sign on the door. Is nothing sacred? But don't despair: It appears the stalwart hangout is simply changing hands. "Gone, but not for long. Sold to a long-time employee and will reopen in February," the restaurant Tweeted (for the first time!) late last night. Look for it to reemerge with a makeover in the next few weeks, hopefully addressing all of your grilled cheese-and-hangover needs once more.
