Another big-name chef has closed a Fenway restaurant: A week after Michael Schlow closed Barrio, Ken Oringer has shuttered taqueria La Verdad. In a statement to Boston, he said that the reason behind the closure was "pretty simple: nice run, time to concentrate [on] other projects. Sold to a friend to do another project." He's probably busy with his New York city tapas parlor, Toro; it's not yet clear who the friend behind the new project is. Hopefully it's up and running by Opening Day.
