In May, chef Paul O'Connell told me that the rumored sale of Cambridge staple Chez Henri to Green Street's Dylan Black wasn't a done deal. Now, it seems, the time has come for him to move on (sad timing, given the recent news about UpStairs on the Square). The 19-year-old French-Cuban restaurant on Shepard St. will close on Sunday, Cambridge Day reports.

A Facebook post invites "guests, family, friends, past and present employees in over the next days to celebrate the fond memories and say your goodbyes to this legendary neighborhood favorite."

As for O'Connell: Last spring, he mentioned that he'd like to open a restaurant in Los Angeles or work on school-lunch-program initiatives. But, he joked at the time, "I'm not going to be like Jamie Oliver. I'm not going to West Virginia to feed anyone tofu." But, perhaps, those famous Cuban sandwiches?
