The wild, wild Metrowest is set to welcome another higher-end restaurant alongside new spots like 29 Sudbury, Bondir, and 80 Thoreau. Acton's Red Raven, helmed by former KO Prime chef Josh Buehler, opens next month.

Per Acton's Patch, chef Buehler and his wife Jenifer Apazidis aim for a mid-November opening. Their menu is now online, and it's ambitious: look for corn dogs, bone marrow with corned beef tongue, house-made sausages, and something called "fungi salmangundi" (in layman's terms, mixed mushrooms with Sriracha). Signage is up, and they've taken to Facebook to solicit live bands.

The Red Raven replaces town hangout Scupper Jack's — or, as some longtime locals probably remember it, the Rusty Scupper.

Updated to add: John Apazidis and his wife, Jenifer Apazidis, co-own the restaurant.

Red Raven, 3 Nagog Park, Acton
