"After 32 years we have closed our doors. Thank you to all our loyal customers over the years." So reads a sign at Piccola Venezia, a North End mainstay for three decades. Server Not Servant's Patrick Maguire and Boston Restaurant Talk confirm the closure. The restaurant has gotten some shaky Yelp! reviews of late, with one disgruntled diner lamenting that "If you enjoy the Olive Garden, you'll like the food here. If you enjoy Italian cuisine, you won't."

Rumors abound that cannoli heaven Modern Pastry might move into the 263 Hanover St. space. They're currently at 257 Hanover.

Will you miss Piccola Venezia?
