The friendly coffeehouse that's lured countless Arlingtonians and Minuteman bicyclists is getting a makeover. It'll be taken over by the Kickstand Cafe, says the Arlington Advocate; Kickstand's owners also run the cute little Cafe Zing at Cambridge's Porter Square Books.

Expect a similar Zing-y menu here, including Vietnamese rolls, fair-trade coffee, espresso, and lots of loose leaf teas. Like Jam'n Java, they'll also host open mic nights. The cafe will be closed for two weeks while it undergoes renovations.

Kickstand Cafe, 594 Mass Ave., Arlington
