Changes in Harvard Square, but Grendel's Den isn't going anywhere

After news broke that UpStairs on the Square plans to close on New Year's Eve, many people were worried about the fate of neighboring Winthrop St. bar Grendel's Den. Happily, it's not going anywhere, even though the building is changing hands. The 41-year-old watering hole's lease lasts through 2017, says Cambridge Day. Grendel's owner Kari Kuelzer says she's sad to see her longtime neighbors say so long.
