Cook opens at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow at 825 Washington St. in Newton. It's the newest restaurant from Paul Turano, who also runs Arlington Center's reliable rendezvous spot, Tryst. The menu aims to please, skipping from Vietnamese pork ribs to cavatelli to Udon noodles. (Read our preview here.) There's also a wood-fired stove with nine bar seats and an open kitchen, so you can chat with the chef while ordering flatbreads and other toasty snacks. Check out Turano's menu, and the cocktail list, ahead.

Dinner Menu

Cook launches weekend brunch on September 21 and weekday lunch on October 1.

Cook, 825 Washington St., Newton
