The Thai chainlet, with branches in Newton and Medford, shuttered their Arlington Heights branch this summer for renovations. Now a phone call to the restaurant reveals that it's closed for good, to be replaced with another Thai spot. The windows are papered over now, but the restaurant's voicemail states that the new restaurant will open "very soon." The Newton and Medford locations carry on. (Friendly tip: Their pungent hot-and-sour "Tom Yum Koong" soup with shrimp and chili can cure even the most persistent colds.)
