A visit to the Belmont Craft Beer Cellar is a rite of passage for any true craft beer lover. The shop, known for its vast collection of rare and local brews, opened a new branch in Winchester on Monday. Owner Kate Baker tells the Patch that the debut was "fantastic" and that locals have been shocked and delighted to discover a craft beer shop in their town. "Some people have walked right in with a purpose while other people have just walked by going about their business and you see them stop dead in their tracks, turn around and be like 'There's a beer store in my town now' and they will stick their heads," she said. There's a special emphasis on Massachusetts beers — and just in time for the Fourth of July.
