Hmm. Boston Restaurant Talk reports via Twitter that a "board game cafe" called "Knight Moves" will open in Coolidge Corner. The owners have the greater good in mind: According to BRT, "[Th]e folks behind it are 'a collection of Board Game Geeks' who have 'lamented the inconveniences Board Gamers face in Boston' such as 'wobbly tables, noisy venues, and that the city seems to roll up the streets at 9 o'clock.'"

But things are looking up for noise-sensitive, nocturnal gamers. In addition to this upcoming cafe, which will be located at 1402 Beacon Street and could be a partnership with nearby Eureka Puzzles, there's also the brand-new Hit Wicket in Cambridge, the first stateside restaurant with a cricket theme.
