Frost Ice Bar, which originally planned to open this spring, confirms to the Globe that they'll open next month in Faneuil Hall. (Kind of wish it were this week, given the heat.) It boasts a bar that's constructed almost completely out of ice, complemented by ice stools and ice glasses. It’s $19 to get in and $11 for a cocktail, and customers are only allowed to stay inside for 45 minutes. Not cheap, but it's only fair: Admission includes use of "insulated capes and gloves." And, of course, it'll be quite easy to give a bad date the cold shoulder. What do you think: great or gimmicky?
