Ukraine: Up close

The details of a scene can be just as revealing as a more comprehensive image. The carnation sticking out of the bricks from the barricade, a priestís bandaged hand holding a crucifix, the anti-Yanukovich sticker on a burnt-out bus. The faces that photographers have focused on over the last several weeks are equally revealing. Rage, fear and pain are just some of the emotions registered on the faces of those involved --Thea Breite (17 photos total)
