Fox Sports reporter and "Dancing with the Stars" veteran Erin Andrews will take her turn at hosting the ABC competition series, ABC confirmed on "Good Morning America" Monday.

The then-rumored news broke on Sunday, just two days after now-former "Dancing" co-host, Brooke Burke-Charvet, released a statement exclusively to E! which confirmed her departure from the show.

"I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture. I've always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn't able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I've seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake."

Charvet posted a couple of "DWTS"-related tweets for her followers on Friday, too. The first read a little bitter, the second was more poised.

Andrews competed during Season 10 of the show with pro Maxim Chmervoskiy.

Season 18 of "Dancing" kicks off on March 17. The upcoming cast of competing celebrities and their professional partners will be revealed on "Good Morning America" March 4.
