Aly Raisman and her partner Mark Ballas are going through to next week's round of performances after last night's first elimination show of the season on "Dancing With the Stars."

The bottom two couples, Lisa Vanderpump and Gleb Savchenko, and Victor Ortiz and Lindsay Arnold, were spared from elimination when Dorothy Hamill and Tristan MacManus bowed out, despite their safe status.

Hamill, a former Olympic figure skater, was suffering throughout practices last week and the latest performance round because of a cyst on her spine, and was advised by a surgeon to withdraw from the show. With her early exit, no one was sent home.

Hamill and MacManus impressed with the first week's contemporary performance which garnered 21 points and a three-way tie for second place (above). Due to the injury, the couple floundered during the second week's jive (below), earning the lowest scores of the night (15).

"Dancing" host Tom Bergeron advised the couples who were in that bottom two and spared to take advantage of the free pass.

Are you surprised that Hamill left the show? How do you feel about the couples who were in the bottom two? Let us know in the comments.
