Celebrities like Ben Stiller, Tony Danza, "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, and Barbara Walters helped man the phones Monday morning for the ABC "Day of Giving" telethon during "Good Morning America" to raise funds for Hurricane Sandy victims.
The "Day of Giving" effort is a partnership with Disney, ABC, and the Red Cross. At 8:05 a.m., ABC partner Samsung announced it would match up to $3 million worth of donations.
A post from 9:11 a.m. on the ABC live blog set up for the day showed that the network had raised $3,116,742, including a $250,000 donation from "Shark Tank" entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
