The "Day of Giving" effort is a partnership with Disney, ABC, and the Red Cross. At 8:05 a.m., ABC partner Samsung announced it would match up to $3 million worth of donations.
A post from 9:11 a.m. on the ABC live blog set up for the day showed that the network had raised $3,116,742, including a $250,000 donation from "Shark Tank" entrepreneur and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
