Springfield is about to welcome another celebrity visitor: Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga leaves a hotel in Hong Kong Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

In "Lisa Goes Gaga," "The Simpsons" season 23 finale, the pop megastar will head to the funny family's town to cheer up Lisa through the power of music, a flash mob, and more. Judging by the trailer, Gaga's penchant for outrageous outfits will also play a big role in the episode, as the promo features Homer nibbling her famed meat dress and Maggie shuffling around in her best Gaga drag.

When Gaga recorded her lines way back in August 2011, she told Entertainment Weekly that, “I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor.”

"Since the very beginning, I’ve always wanted to have on the most iconic personalities of our time, and she’s it,” "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening said. “It’s very hard to top reality with her, but I’m sure we’ll come up with something that is going to be as improbable as her usual wardrobe.”

This won't be the first time Mother Monster has appeared on the show. Gaga was spoofed on "The Simpsons" in a 2011 episode.

The season finale airs on Fox on May 20.
