The fans have been clamoring for Betty White to host "Saturday Night Live," after her appearances in the Super Bowl Snickers ad and in "The Proposal" (see this "Betty White to Host SNL (Please)" Facebook page). And on Sunday night at Elton John's Oscar party, the actress confirmed to People magazine that a plan is indeed in place. The former Golden Girl offered no specifics about when she would be on the show, or in what capacity. Nor did she have an explanation for her cult surge, which has come after her many, many decades in show biz. But we know why: She's one of the great comic TV actresses, she's still got a great sense of humor about herself, she's game for anything, and she's 88. Here's her Snickers ad:
