It's not a big surprise, but for many of us, it's a big disappointment. ABC has cancelled "Pushing Daisies," "Dirty Sexy Money," and "Eli Stone"! The network has not actually used the word "cancelled," but it is not picking up the shows for the second halves of their seasons. Which, essentially, means cancellation.

This should be interesting. All three of those series have developed very passionate, if small, fan bases. Will ABC be barraged by daisies and dirty Monopoly money and George Michael discs? I know that NBC changed its mind a little bit after the "Lipstick Jungle" fans spoke, and "Jericho" was famously brought back by CBS due to the fans' campaign. We'll see.

I suspect that the "Pushing Daisies" people will be most upset, and most vocal -- even though creator Bryan Fuller has already talked to Kristin at E! about keeping the story alive in comic books and a big-screen movie. The rest of the finished episodes will air, by the way, which should also offer some consolation.

But I'm most sorry to see "Dirty Sexy Money" go. Next to "Gossip Girl," it has been TV's most fun-loving and yet dramatically solid soap opera. I admired "Daisies," and recognized the value of its originality, and honor ABC for giving it a shot in the first place, but I was hooked on "Dirty Sexy Money." I'll miss you, my Darlings.

  1. Daisies should have been pushing after episode 1. What an annoying, headache inducing piece of drivel! Too bad about Dirty Sexy and Eli Stone. At least the whisicality in Stone was not nauseating like Daisies.

  1. It's all about the money. No one asked me what I thought of the shows. Eli Stone was fresh and different than anything the networks have put out in a long time. True Pushing Daisys is different - maybe TOO different. But dfferent is GOOD! Are they trying to hypnotise us with DULL?

I suppose ABC will fill those slots with more 'reality shows' or law and cop shows - like we don't have enough of those.

Thank God for my DVD player and PBS. I will be reading more books this next year, also. BBBOOOOOO to all the network mucky-mucks who think they are gods. Hope you go the way of the Investment Bankers!!!

  1. I HATE ABC!! First they cancel "Traveler" on me, then they cancel "October Road", now DSM!! I really loved the show Dirty Sexy Money, it seems like everytime I get a show that I like, they cancel it because it doesnt make gazillions of dollars. Jeeze why cant they just move it to a new timeslot or something, and the previous reply was right, the reality shows and cop shows stink, there are too many of those now a days... Dirty Sexy Money was solid and refreshing..... We really should do something to keep the show alive!

  1. I could watch "Pushing Daisies" with the sound off. It was visually stunning. At least in HD.

  1. Terrible news about Eli Stone and Dirty Sexy...terrible title by the way but the Show was cool...Really disappointed..ABC had some really solid shows there with Life on Mars and Lost they had 4 or 5 shows that I tuned into ABC for....Honestly those are more watchable than that crap they put on Sunday nights....Guess it is time to email ABC....

  1. I don't know the other two, but I am a huge fan of Eli. Even for an atheist like myself, the overarching story arc about faith and "doing the right thing" is such a universal concept we can all embrace. This is a character driven show that needs to find it's legs. It is a shame that ABC has so little "faith" in it's viewers

  1. Dirty Sexy Money was a great show.....what a shame. Shows again that ABC is just out of touch.

  1. I don't know how to go on without Pushing Daisies!

  1. And with Pushing Daisies goes the last network television program I cared about.

Come on cable hook us up. There is a market out there for this one.

  1. Pushing Daisies was "all style and no substance", every episode was exactly the same thing over-and-over again. It's quirkyness was cute in the beginning, but grew tiresome quickly.

Eli Stone was just plain boring. Whatever existential point it was trying to make fell flat.

Dirty Sexy Money had a great cast, but it felt like it was written to be an SNL spoof of itself. I always found myself asking "was this supposed to sound so cheesey???".

  1. Pushing Daisies is a great show. It is funny, well written and colorful...totally different from every other sitcom. The actors are perfect for their parts and really reel you in to the story line. I hate to see the show go. It is however typical of a network to only care about the money and not what the fans want.

  1. HOW DARE THEY CANCEL ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, ORIGINAL, FUNNY, SMART shows that ABC has ever had! This is an injustice to us all!!! What are they going to add another freaking reality show? We can't let them do this to PUSHING UP DAISIES!!!! We have to march! We have to take to the streets!!! Who's with me? HUH? Who's with me?? anyone? :'-(

  1. WHAT IS WRONG With ABC????
Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone are two of the best shows on that network!
Well back to watching TVO reruns of The Office and How I Met Your Mother.

  1. Noo... not Pushing Daisies! The one show I actually watched on ABC after Traveler had been cancelled.
Well, good job. No point in watching this channel anymore for me. =/

  1. This is awful. "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Eli Stone" are two of the best shows on tv. Very disappointed in ABC right now.

Posted by kevin November 21, 08 10:37 AM
  1. ABC should have canceled Lost 4 years ago, after the first appearance of the "smoke monster." That show must cost them millions of dollars to produce and sustain, and the vast majority of people I've spoken to have stopped watching it. Dirty Sexy Money was the best thing that has happened to that network in years. I haven't watched the other shows, so I can't weigh in. I'll be sorry to say goodbye, mid-season (!) to the Darlings.

Posted by Angry November 21, 08 10:38 AM
  1. AGAIN! Really! They alwasy cancel the shows I love most. Eli & Dirty were both fantastic show ... different than anything else on TV ... sillly, fun, entertaining. I don't want more reality. Leave these shows on and give them more time to create a fan base!

  1. ABC's getting as bad as Fox!

Pushing Daisies is thoughtful, well written, visually dynamic and beautiful with a touch of the morbid! It's a unique thing in TV land where these other shows all kind of fade and blur into one another and there's very little difference between them.

YES! VERY VOCAL and UPSET Daisies fans!! I'm not as heartbroken as I was with Fox canceled Firefly, but I'm definitely more miffed than when John Doe got pulled

Posted by Nie November 21, 08 10:41 AM
  1. Pushing Daisies was the only program I watched. Nothing on the air was as creative or original.

I've had CSU, ER drams and dumb-man/dumb-woman sit-coms!
This was really clever --- from the words to the sets, from the concept to the execution. Brilliant TV entertainment.

What bad judgement on CBS' part. How many folks watched it online (like me)? Does Neilsen measure that?!?!

Posted by goldmixon November 21, 08 10:43 AM
  1. RIP Pushing Daisies!!
Contrived, stylized bastardization of Six Feet Under wrapped around cloying fairy tale sets and mindless cg eye candy..the only really compelling visual was the amazing width of Swoozie Kurtz's face-lifted clown puss "pie hole"...

  1. Eli Stone is such a refreshing show.....I can't believe they are cancelling it. Well they always do what they want, not what their viewers want..... time to change the channel.

  1. I love Dirty Sexy Money!!
It's a great show. Why do they have to cancel it?

    ABC should re-condsidering canceling..........please.

  1. There are not a lot of family friendly shows on TV that I am willing to watch with my teenage boys. We pick and choose the shows we watch so that we do not pollute the kids more than they are already polluted by the behaviors they see and hear about from their school peers. Pushing Daisies was a cute safe show, and Eli Stone was fun and thought provoking. DSM was not allowed in our home, nor is Lost or any of the reality shows (they are just dumb, dumb, dumb.) Good thing we have a large library of DVDs. Looks like there will be a lot less TV programs to watch in our home.

  1. Pushing Daisies was an excellent show. It was like a cartoon for adults who are still young at heart. Every episode was like playing a game of Clue, it wasn't always the first person you suspected.

Pushing Daisies is also the one show on TV that makes HD progrmaing worth while. Visually amazing.

The story telling, naration, witty banter, and inuendo were right on.

And I think I can speak for many of the guy viewers when I say I'm going to miss that Olive Snook and here bright green waitress uniform. ;)

  1. I am hooked on Dirty Sexy Money. It is one of the best shows. How can the cancel it??? First NBC cances MY Own Worst Enemy and now DIrty Sexy Money on ABC

    Posted by mom2kids November 21, 08 10:59 AM
  1. I guess that this is not a real surprise. Before the 07/08 season, ABC was being lauded for trying out some different types of shows. But in an initial viewing of all of them last year, I could tell that they wouldn't last, especially "Pushing Daisies". And it’s “Daisies” that I loved and continue to love. Not that I’m so cynical or prescient, but in decades of watching network TV, I can usually tell which shows won’t survive on the networks, where they need to have massive numbers of viewers. The networks cannot allow for any “niche hits”, which, unfortunately, seem to be the ones that I fall for. Last year I took looks at both “Eli” and “Dirty” and found both of them to be pretty disappointing, so I long ago stopped watching them. But having loved “Wonderfalls”, I wasn’t surprised to love “Daisies”. Bryan Fuller, “Daisies” creator, must have a thick skin at this point. But I’d think that he’d pitch his shows to cable stations rather than the networks, where, although they wouldn’t get the big budgets, they might have better opportunities to thrive. I look at “The Closer”, “Monk”, and “Psyche” and I see how they have thrived on cable, even though they could probably do well on the networks. Those three certainly aren’t as quirky as “Daisies”, either. This doesn’t appear to be a time where viewers want off-beat programs; they’re looking to TV as “comfort food”, where, more than ever the familiar will attract the big numbers. (I also see that “Life on Mars” will be moving in January from Thursday to Wednesday, with “Lost” as its lead-in. That will probably be a better match for “LOM” than it has been with “Grey’s Anatomy”, but I’d still be surprised to see “Life on Mars” last past the end of the season.) Well, so long to Chuck ‘n’ Ned ‘n’ Emerson ‘n’ Olive. It was great while it lasted.

  1. I only watch 4 shows on network tv: Heroes, Pushing Daisies, Chuck, and My Own Worst Enemy and they are all getting cancelled! I don't like reality tv so I have to ask what are people watching?

Oh yeah-I'll watch Lost and 24 when they come back on too

  1. get HBO and Showtime and start watching "TRUEBLOOD" and "DEXTER"...........amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. ABC is foolish. No patience, little promotion. ABC could have set itself apart with some nighttime offerings not found elsewhere in broadcast, fantasy and soap. I enjoyed those shows very much, none more so than the terrific Pushing Daisies -- critically acclaimed, terrific writing and acting, set and costume designs. 12 Emmy nods. Got anything better, ABC? Dancing With the Failed Reality Stars? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Posted by Mimi November 21, 08 11:15 AM
  1. Pushing Daisies - Great cast, creative writing, fun to watch, original, no violence, entertaining, amusing set and costume designs, full of color and giggles, can watch it with your kids - It's what America needs on TV. Of course it'll be taken off the air - why should the networks keep something so refreshing when they can replace it with something that is depressing and stressful. I'm obviosly VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Posted by Victoria November 21, 08 11:16 AM
  1. I agree with you, Nie. One of the things I love about Pushing Daisies is it is successful in hiding morbitity in silliness. It is very clever, and a live action scripted show has not made me laugh out loud or even chuckle in a long time - most are amusing at best.

DON'T PULL A "FOX", ABC. They really messed up in cancelling Firefly and Family Guy and Futurama and Arrested Development. At least they brought Family Guy back - but those other shows became cult classics and made millions in DVD sales. They would have made millions more if they had STAYED ON THE AIR.

  1. This is exactly why I don't watch much tv. They took Moonlight off which so many people loved, they took the one, I can't think of the name, he was a time traveler and I loved that, and they have a similar show on this year....You just get interested in something and it's gone and then it's replaced by a similar show...doesn't make any sense. And I'm sooooo tired of the reality shows, and the dancing with the stars...enough is enough.
None of the channels give a show a chance. And they also keep changing the times and nights...

Posted by Barbara November 21, 08 11:31 AM
  1. this is total bull. dirty sexy money was one of the best written and acted shows i've ever watched, not to mention original. just like twin peaks, the general public doesn't want anything as good as sophisticated as DSM.

Why don't you take some of those stupid reality shows off the air, they protray how stupid people are just for money or people need a husband or wife that bad that they berate themselfs on tv. I am getting really tried of all the good programs that are being canceled.

I am very sad to hear it's going to be cancelled, no wonder I don't commit to the regular t.v. schedule, REALITY TV SUCKS, NO IMAGINATION!!!!

  1. I've been watching DSM with my girfriend now since the first episode and there was definite momentum leading right up to the writers strike; then after the strike they decided to wait to continue the show until the new fall season started for some stupid reason. Its one of those shows that seems to have appeal to both sexes and every one of my friends are hooked now and it always seemed to illicit conversation around the water cooler in the mornings following a new episode. The biggest issue is the last 4 weeks they've aired only two episodes; again, why they did this I will never know. If I didn't have my PVR I would never know when to tune in because they air only two bloody episodes a month!! I am done with ABC,
    no more suppor

  1. why? this is just a wonderfull series you dont see those too many on the telly please dont cancel eli stone is the best and we never cant see too much of george michael on our telly he is a natural

Posted by yvonne November 21, 08 12:13 PM
  1. If only ABC kept PD, DSM and ES on the air after the writers strike, this might not have happened. How ironic that the show in between, Private Practice, remains on the air and for what? There is going to be a move to Thursdays at 10 pm following Grey's Anatomy, Hmm, could it be because of its Producer?

Life on Mars will probably move to Wednesdays so good luck to that show!

No shows are guaranteed anymore than the original 6 or 10 episodes, so cancellation is evident if not in the Top 20. Maybe the other networks will take over these 3 shows very soon, but until they stop with making Reality a #1 priority, episodic television will never be the same!

  1. I should have known Dirty, Sexy Money would be cancelled. ABC seems to cancel the good shows and leaves us with football, stockcar races, soccer and all that other junk. I do not have cable and am limited to what i can watch so i guess it won't matter if i don't get a box to convert to hd because all the good shows will be gone.

i am still recovering from the cancellation of Men in Trees.

But to take out Dirty Sexy Money when it is getting sooooooo good now! Now when it was getting really juicy with the new girl. UGH!!! They are so very different from any other shows on TV! The writers of these shows are brilliant! I always looked foward to Wednesday's for non-predictable interesting TV shows. I love CSI, but that is all that's out there now. Law shows everywhere you go. I was also a big fan of Jericho. People are wasting their time watching the ridiculous MTV reality shows and other stations reality series. I have never, ever been a fan of ABC. I have never been interested in shows on this station until Dirty Sexy Money and Pushing Daisies and now with the new Life on Mars. Both of the shows captured such interesting characters and plot ideas. Truly one of the biggest mistakes by ABC.

  1. What makes me so upset is they aren't ordering new episodes, but they leave us hanging in the middle of storylines. I am losing my patience with television again. Years ago when they had the writer's strike I stopped watching TV. Then I finally started again when Desperate Housewives came one. Now I am hooked on several ABC shows. But they cancelled Big Shots midseason last year, right in the middle of storylines, and now Dirty Sexy Money. The should be decent enough to finish the storylines for the fans.

  1. Eli Stone is a brilliant show, more brilliant and enticing to watch if they brought back GEORGE MICHAEL and his FABULOUS songs. Love the way they showcased their episodes around his music.

  1. How do these networks think they're going to gain viewers when they keep pulling the rug out on shows people like? After "Journeyman" was cancelled, I was pretty pissed, but this is the nail in the coffin. NO MORE NETWORK SITCOMS OR DRAMAS for me. I'm completely tuning them out now.

  1. I can't believe Pushing Daisies was canceled I love that show. Visually it is stunning. It reminds me of the old noir films except for the beautiful brilliant colors. In film noir the lead detective character could never be with the girl or else he would die just like PD. It also reminds me of Tim Burton films. ABC SUCKS!!! There is nothing else worth watching in that network. NOTHING AT ALL. Also, Dirty Sexy Money tried to hard to be edgy, but in the end it was just laughable. It sucked.

  1. I am so crushed about Pushing Daisies. From the moment I saw the first trailer I was looking forward to it. It's silly, but it's something you can watch with your kids, grandma, and your priest. I gave up cable due to neverending reruns, reality shows, and shows that drop your IQ overall. Pushing Daisies was a show that brought a fresh clever approach to love and friendship...I mean, how many times have you felt bad after watching that show? Even cynics can give it props for ingenuity.
I also enjoyed Eli Stone and think that's a mistake as well. Maybe ABC should make more of an effort to be consistent with it's programming. Playing a show for a few weeks and then leaving it off the air for months on end leaves people hanging, and loses the attention of people who aren't die-hard fans. Studio 60 was a great show, but their constant starts and stops bugged even me.

PD was something i never seen in my life!!!! IT IS AN AMAZING THING ON TV

  1. Eli Stone was such a wonderful TV show. I looked forward to watching it every week. Creative, entertaining, no guns, clean cut, and a wonderful cast. Why not cancel other shows that teach our kids about sex, drugs, and violence than this wonderful show that is about right and wrong. What a mistake!!!

  1. ABC is going to be the new Fox. I'm so upset about Daisies. I really don't think I can watch new shows anymore. I watch them and then they get cancelled. I think I will start waiting for DVD releases. The networks need to give a show a longer time to prove itself. Whatever happened to a network believing in a show they love. Upn then the Cw gave veronica mars three seasons to get an audience before they cancelled that show. I will forever miss Daisies. Ned, Chuck and the crew were great. I gate that. Abc still has two shows that I love and I hate that I can't give up that network. If itvwerent for brothers and sisters plus greys I'd boycott. I'm still mad about October road

  1. NOOOOOO!! I am devastated. Pushing Daisies was such a breath of fresh air among other overdramatic, oversexed, soap operas they call good television these days. This was a sweet, visually stunning show. I am so upset.

  1. With Pushing Daisies - you either loved every quirky line, pun, and silly situation, or you simply stared at the TV wondering what the heck you were watching. For me, it is and will be the most clever, imaginative, innovative, and by far the most visually stimulating show this decade. I am sorry to see it go.

  1. Pushing Daisies was a gem. Visually stunning, clever humor and dialogue, characters you liked, and a human innocence and beauty of sorts that you don't see much.. I realized during the writers's strike that ,with surprisingly few exceptions, I didn't miss tv or the formulaic crap they keep sending our way. Here's one more reason to read a book instead.

  1. I agree with all of the ABC sucks comments.

First they screwed with the wonderful Men In Trees until viewers couldn't even FIND it in the line-up, then they yanked it for MONTHS, now they're canceling Eli Stone. What's the idea, ABC? To get rid of all your GOOD programs and leave the crap? Mission accomplished.

I won't be watching ABC ever again.

  1. I hate you ABC. I watched your crappy drama with characters that are like rip-offs from Heroes all season just to find out what happened to Carmelita, and with one fell swoop of the pen you've made her just another toss-away transgender hate-crime victim. I had such high hopes for this show and I was excited that your network might portray a transgender person as something other than a victim or a serial killer - and you still could have if you had given Nick a chance to find her - but by canceling the season now you've turned your statement on it's ear.

Posted by Susan November 21, 08 03:51 PM
  1. This is typical ABC, create a new, innovative show and doom it with lack of advertising. That is what killed "Pushing Daisies", not lack of viewers. Had ABC gotten behind this show and advertised it like they do their high and dry dramas like "Desperate Housewives" and "Grey's Anatomy" then "Pushing Daisies" would not be in the spot it is in now. "PD" is the best show on TV, easily. It is hilarious, cute, silly, and is the freshest thing on TV. In a world gone cynical, "PD" can revive any person's idea of love. I truly believe that "Pushing Daisies" is the only show on ABC right now that shows true love and friendship. We can all take a page out of "PD"s book. Don't forget, "Pushing Daisies" received 12 Emmy nominations, that should mean something to ABC. All and all, I blame poor network support to the death of "Pushing Daisies". I just hope, and let lighting strike down Fuller should he even think of this, that they don't ruin the show by having one last show where Chuck and Ned accidentally touch. If they happens, I swear to all that is good in this world, I will torch ABC in all 50 states.

Just when you get into the programs you like, they seemed to get cancelled. Please, please, please, don't cancel them, especially Pushing Daisies. I, among others, look forward to watching every week. These programs are the most interesting on TV now-a-days. Please reconsider your decision.

ABC is making a HUGE mistake! TV Guide needs to do another cover of "Best Shows on TV You're Not Watching"! I have never responded to things like this, but between DSM and Lipstick Jungle I feel compelled to speak up. My family and I look forward to the night that DSM is on it's nice to be able to relax with a good show. Oh Well I guess it is just ABC's stupidity!!!!!

I can't imagine my week without visiting The Pie Hole every wednesday night! :( This is ridiculous... these shows are getting taken off because they are UNIQUE and different but America's culture is STUPID and wants more reality and law shows... My only other tv show is The Office and we all know this season has been a stinker.

WHAT THE HECK!!!!!!!!!!! WHY DON'T YOU STICK WITH A GREAT SHOW WHEN YOU HAVE IT. I loved all of the characters and the story lines. It was a great escape from reality once a week for us common people who have to work everyday for a living.

  1. Cancel shows by all means if that's what you've got to do to make money, but they could at least finish filming the series so we're left with an "end" and the storylines tied up, rather than airing what they have filmed and then leaving it there. That's a big dis-service to fans of the shows.

This show has such sparkle and creativity...all you need to do is go back to season 1 and bring GEORGE MICHAEL back... a song or a mention is also a plus if he cannot be on every episode...that is why season 1 was so great...luv the characters and concept of the show as well...

How could you cancel 2 of your best shows but keep the crap ones?????

  1. Note to ABC...I will NEVER watch another new series on your network.....EVER. For Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone to survive the writers' strike only to succumb to network brass' stupidity during Season 2 is beyond words. I, for one, will read more books and watch things on DVD or PBS. At least Frontline isn't going anywhere. The network bosses really need to take a seriously long look at how they come up with these decisions to cancel decent shows. The world does not need any more idiotic reality-based shows. Do we really need another Elisabeth Hasselbeck coming out of a reality show to become a tv host? I think not. Shame on ABC, shame on them.

  1. Yet they don't cancel the most overrated shows: Housewives and Greys. Those shows were so over after their 2nd seasons. Boston Legal?? Anyone watch that show? Ridiculous. Oh, how 'bout Private Practice? Horrible show. They're going to drive themselves right out of business. They're driving all their shows' fans to other networks and cable. I love Daisies, DSM great show, Eli Stone-was okay.

  1. What can we do? DSM is the best new show this year...ala the old great Dynesty, etc., genre. Sure, we know it's all just for fun, but the turns, twists, back-stabbing is so great to try to figure out, week after week. The writers are great, the characters are totally fun, it's what we look forward to on Wednesday....does it have anything to do with the return of Lost (our absolute favorite!)

C'mon-Ugley Betty competing with the beautiful Darlings-puleeze

And all this from a retired 66 year old ex-teacher!

How do we petition this back??

Do we have to wait for a show to be on the air for a few seasons to start caring? Catch up on the first few seasons on DVD's when they last more than 3 years....come on abc!

So, let me get this straight, shows like Dancing with the Stars, Lost, Supernanny and Wife Swap stay, while DSM, Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone get banished. Obviously those making the desicions are very easily entertained.

  1. Once again, ABC is proving why they are idiots. Eli Stone was strange, but hilarious, and moving all at the same time. I enjoyed every episode I was fortunate enough to see. However, DSM was nuts. I was sucked into it like how people get hooked on soaps..... It was literally the only network TV show i watched every single episode of. I love reading, so that's what I'll do. ABC can go pound some sand down here in Virginia Beach.

Pushing Daisies was the greatest show that was ever written/produced/thought of and you have suffered a major loss so I hope you expect you rating to go down!
And i hope you go bankrupt.

  1. In a world as depressing as ours, don't we need shows that don't make us want to slit our wrists afterwards? Pushing Daisies is one of those shows. It is stunning visually and written brillianlty. Why would they decide to cancel it? It is like lighting a butterfly on fire.

Everytime I watch Daisies I come away feeling a little lighter, a little more hopeful, and a little more loving. The world needs more Daisies, not less. ABC should be canceling the high sex, high violence shows that have been shown to raise teen pregnancy and violence.

Our country is spiralling towards another Great Depression and when we finally hit rock bottom, people are not going to want to see trauma patients or rape victims or spoiled children. They are going to want to see pie and magic and happily ever after.

If ABC follows through with their current plan. Daisies is guarenteed to go the way of Freaks and Geeks, Firefly, and other gems. This is wrong.

Pease Ned, Touch Pushing Daisies and then don't touch it again. Don't let this flower die!!!!

  1. I am VERY disappointed that Eli Stone is being cancelled! It seems like they don't even give the shows time to grow on people. I really enjoy watching Eli Stone week after week. I think it has a wonderful plot line and it nice to see some "good" on a tv show where the main character is actually helping people because he feels like a higher power has given him the "gift" to help. Maybe before they decide to cancel the show, they should try putting it in a different time slot. I know that any show that is on 10 o'clock is pretty much going to be recorded because I don't stay up that late. I would probably watch the show live if it were on earlier. SAVE ELI STONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Frankly I wonder at the clap trap that ABC presents. Too many sitcoms are too predictable with their humor and lately they all push the tittilating envelope too far. No, I'm not a prude but some writers are simply more creative and imaginative then others. The CSI Franchise on CBS is getting tired too. 90% fancy shmancy gizmos and very little actual acting and they've got to lose those little flashlights totally usleless in broad daylight. Most of TV drama is settling into soap boxing. I want to be entertained and amused not preached to.

  1. I personally didn't love DSM, but I would fight to keep it on for those of you that do.. it is certainly better than so much of the junk that is on, some for too long of a time.

Unusual shows like these take time to grow an audience. Network execs, are not only are short on brains, but also short on heart. I will really miss Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone, I thought they were both just getting an audience.. If you heard - for example - Scrubs was scrubbed by NBC, it was just announce that Scrubs has been picked up by ABC. So, now is the time for NBC or CBS to take a cue from ABC and pick up one of these.

Posted by katmomdu November 21, 08 10:23 PM
  1. ABC,
You never even gave Eli Stone a chance. You put it on at the 10:00 Blood and Guts hour when you knew that it was an 8:00 or 9:00 show. Families could take a sigh of relief because they could watch it with their kids. No slutty doctors, wife swapping, or desperate housewives. No "tabloid television". Just a good, simple, wonderful little show that deserves your attention rather than just shoving in any old time slot. You had a talented ensemble piece and guest stars that I was hoping to see more of. I think it should be the show on before Lost, myself. What a lead in, huh? I could wait until January. How about anyone else out there?

I even bought a new 40' HD TV so I can watch ABC's wednesday night line up in style! Pushing Daisies was a very colorful, witty and quirky original show. I loved the vivid world that Fuller created. It will be missed. Hopefully it will be picked up.

  1. Any wonder cable television keeps getting more viewers and network less??? I can't believe ABC has once again cancelled shows that are fun escapes while preferring to keep mundane and cookie-cutter nonsense. I really looked forward to watching Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money. I came back to watching ABC because of those two shows after other years of disappointments. Guess ABC could care less about loyal viewers. . .

  1. It appears that original doesn't count for much anymore. Pushing Daisies is the one and only reason to tune to ABC. I see no reason to in the future.
Hopefully, sci-fi, oxygen, etc will pick up the series and fill the gaps for those of us who are finished with crime drama, reality shows, and endless contest shows.

  1. Dirty Sexy Money, one of the best shows is getting canceled???? Seriously man! This show is one that did one strike to a selected audience but to the ones it strikes, it really strikes HARD!
If you guys aren't airing it, then atleast release it some other way because we do not want it to end like this!

  1. ABC has lost me as a viewer now. I was a huge fan of Grey's but this season I was a bit on the fence. I did not like where the show was going. And then last week they brought Denny back. I did not like him on the show the first time, and now he's back. I could not stand him and Izzy. So I gave up on that show. And now they cancel Dirty Sexy. Samantha Who is the only other show I watch there now, since they did not bring back Notes From The Underbelly I was upset about that. Now it's time to just stick to HBO and Showtime.

  1. Oh Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can they cancel "Dirty Sexy Money"?! I love the show and everyone that is in the show. I hope they at least what's up with Simon before the end of the season.

  1. I am heartbroken! I love DSM and Daisies. Every week I watch Private Practice, but can live without it; I cannot live without DSM, Daisies, Grey's, Desperate, Brothers and Sisters, Sam, Dancing 1st night, House, Ugly Betty, Life on Mars. I love the network, but they always do this.... Invasion, Notes From the Underbelly, Men in Trees, American Inventor, Push Nevada... It is sad. I better trust that House will stay on FOX and start watching Cable.

The only new shows for ABC that look interesting are Border Patrol, my husband will like and the new Motherhood show. So, since I have no interest in really any of the mid season replacements, I guess I will start sampling the other networks during those time slote btw, get a clue, if every other kutcher show has failed, why another one.. spare us

  1. It really seems as though the networks caters to a low level of intelligence. All three of the shows being canceled were interesting and fun. My favorite was Eli Stone which is very upbeat and inspiring. I believe our society needs more shows like this. It's a gem which was wasted.

  1. Of course, when there are finally some new and creative shows on TV that I enjoy thoroughly, they're cancelled. What's the matter with ABC anyway? Wasn't M*A*S*H originally slated for the chopping block and Ali McBeal, etc., etc.? Fortunately, some networks give the shows a chance. It's only been a few weeks, and people haven't discovered that there is anything decent to watch. I know it took me awhile. There are so many "reality" (yeah like they're what is real anyway - just stupid, made-up, gross stuff) shows, that I haven't watched TV much since well before the writers' strike. Now the only decent channels to watch are The Weather Channel and the History channel. How can ABC be so out of touch?

Posted by Anonymous November 22, 08 08:19 AM
  1. I am sooooo done with TV. My wife keeps asking me to watch new shows but what for? They always cancel them in the middle. Vanished, Traveler, October Road, and now my favorite ELI STONE! I mean WTF! Why bother luring in a fan base when your just gonna pull the rug out from under them? I will now only watch cable shows, they at least let shows run...and run to the end so a viewer can get some freakin closure!

Posted by Done with TV! November 22, 08 09:35 AM

Can some cable show pick up Eli Stone, beg George Michael to come back to it and give it a chance. I so want to hear more of his songs in the story lines of this show along with seeing his sexiness in person. There's nothing like these shows on tv and they are being cancelled because they don't fit the formula. ABC better get a clue quick. It's a new dawn it's a new day, people will not stick around for this crap treatment. Your only going to keep loosing viewers.

  1. It seems to me that every time I like a show ... on ANY network ... it is doomed. I don't think I require so much, really. An interesting concept. good ensemble acting, and ...oh yeah ... INTELLIGENT SCRIPTS! Eli Stone was a favorite of both me and my husband and honestly, we were surprised they didn't dump it after the first season. It was so different from the usual trivia that the networks favor that I was surprised it made it through more than a single season. I guess I'm not surprised to see it go ... sad. Boston Legal is going ... which is too depressing to contemplate. I STILL miss West Wing. Losing Leno is like losing a good friend that you can always count on ... How ironic that virtually every intelligent show remaining is on cable or Fox. Are all network execs suicidal or does it just seem that way?

Posted by Marilyn Armstrong November 22, 08 12:24 PM
  1. dear ABC execs:
1- Move DSM to Sunday night after The Desperate show and see what happens.
2- Eli Stone moves to a tiny start up law office. Save tons on cast $.
    3- renew BOSTON LEGAL!!!!!!!

  1. Haven't watched any of the shows mentioned. I agree with the poster who stated there just aren't many family friendly TV shows, which is why I choose alternatives, and sometimes watch old reruns on TVLand. They were traditional family oriented shows that everyone could watch together. I, for one, am offended by the blood, guts, and violence, as well as graphic autopsies and forensics, and stupid, meaningless reality shows. TV programmers have the opinion that Americans enjoy watching this garbage, when now is the time we need to return to traditional famly values which used to leave "something" to the imagination of the viewers".

Our family is "suffering" through PBS and Netflix. The latter is running out of good movies. Symptoms of Hollywood/TV networks running out of creativity. And to think that was a major source of export revenue and unfortunately a source of hatred in the Islamic world. What happened to the 1950's Ugly American? It transformed into the 2000 Sleeze Bag American.

  1. I don't ever bother watching new TV shows because they are always so likely to be cancelled. And by the time they have been around a season or two, they usually have laid down too much tangled story line and history to bother catching up. So, basically, if and when I watch television, it's those dog training shows on Animal Planet, What Not to Wear or those construction and house flipping shows...that sort of things

I only watch ABC for Pushing Daisies. Now all i have to watch is the Office. GAH it is the best show. Its like Tim Burton meets CSI. It is so amazing to watch and every episode is so creative and diffrent each week no matter what people argue. If ABC decides to stop airing Daisies they need to at least close the story line so all of us will not wonder all our lives what happen to the pie maker and chuch. Or if Chucks aunts will ever get to see chuck. Or who the new comer is that wants to get Chucks dads pocket watch so bad. Or if Emerson will ever find his daughter. Or if chuck will go forever without touching Ned. All these unanswered questions will drive all of us loyal fans mad!!!!!! DONT CANCELL IT

Posted by ZackB November 23, 08 12:28 PM
  1. Pushing Daisies is one of the funnier shows on TV, and Eli Stone is one of the best more real to life programs, but not a reality show. DSM could go, no great loss. I'm tired of the jerks on the networks and their " WE know what's best attitude." They don't. There is to much reality in life now, that's why we watch TV, to escape and have fun. If people can't have fun on one network, they are going to go to another. So long, good bye, see you when you come to your senses.

    Pushing Daisies.

They were all wonderfully creative, ahead-of-their time shows. So much of angst-teenage television owes itself to "My-So-Called Life." SportsNight made it possible for shows like "The Office" and "30 rock" to work... and Pushing Daisies is the most interesting to watch on television...

There's very little worthwhile shows on anymore. I miss the good old days. Eli Stone was the best show on tv. Pushing Daisies was very original and different. 1. I cannot believe that ELI STONE and DIRTY SEXY MONEY are being
cancelled. These are just about the only 2 shows I watch either on
line or on DVR. I really believe that there is a HUGE audience of
these shows that is not properly being represented.

It has been done before ....good, decent shows are cancelled and
replaced by a mid season junker, but shows have been saved by fans
contacting the network and telling them how awful it would be if the
show was cancelled......and it saved the outcome of the show.
Supposidly they are going by Neilson Ratings, but it does not capture
people who DVR, TIVO it or watch it on the web. . I know you all are

  1. The ABC executives are the ones who have the problem, because they feel there isn't enough viewers to watch these shows. What they don't realize is that as the years go by computers take people away from watching shows on television. For example, if I miss a show I just go to the ABC website and watch the show with little advertisement interuption. I don't believe they take a summation of both online viewers and television viewers as a combined total. Which leads me to believe that through recent years more shows have been canceled than in the 80's or 90's.

  1. i agree with all of you that are going to stop watching ABC. i am tired of finding a great one hour escape to my day and having them take it away. Eli Stone was one of the only shows on TV right now that doesn't focus on gore and death as a main staple for each episode. its a pity that the violence and misfortune of others is what our country likes to watch on tv, instead of shows that can provoke thought.

Posted by catgirl November 29, 08 10:23 AM
  1. For once, please do the right thing and save ELI STONE. We are really getting tired of investing our time into programs that you turn around and cancel. If you won't reconsider, I really hope another network will see the positives of this program and the obvious viewer dedication and loyalty. It escapes me how some of the ridiculous, pathetic programs you continue to carry, can stay on the air and yet anything with substance, you quickly get rid of. Why not just continue to show junk, and don't take any more chances on good programming, because soon enough your station will be known as the channel that shows nothing but junk!

The cast is phenomenal and the writing is smart. It is nice to see a family on television that cares about each other, Donald Sotherland portrays his character so well and Peter Krausse is fantastic as the family lawyer. My friends and I are so disappointed.

Let's face it, folks, the majority of the American public prefers reality shows, game shows, bedroom dramas, and any kind of show with "Stars" - no matter how dim their lights are. As a father of four, signed up under Reagan, and a very picky tv viewer, I guess I'll just make time for House and buy the season DVDs of Pushing Daisies. Now where was tht Rat's A$$ I wasn't going to give about the new ABC line-up...

It's the only thing we watch on ABC besides football. Sorry, never got around to seeing "Dirty" or "Eli". We're doing more crossword puzzles now. Reality is out of the question. Bad luck for me in the past year.. Las Vegas, Standoff, My Own Worst Enemy, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone.. (I believe that's all) all taken away. I'm pretty much losing confidence in TV here. Why get 'attached'? They want you to, but it doesn't seem worth it.

Seems like only big shows survive, and damn, even Heroes is probably going down. Once again, this is just rediculous.

  1. I cannot believe they are canceling this show. I love it because it differs from the kissy-kissy hospital dramas that ABC seems to love. I am always excited on Wednesdays to see what happens next. It has such a contrast to opposing shows, that it makes it fun to watch. It seems like ABC has canceled a lot of good shows that had fantastic futures, including Pushing Daisies.

Posted by Camryn December 5, 08 08:13 PM
  1. Those who dislike "Pushing Daisies" are people who have only a superficial understanding of the English language. These people want the same dialog and plot elements in their shows, and "Pushing Daisies" was obviously too cutting edge. The people who affect the rating systems the most would rather sit around eating fast food and watching pro wrestling while using the picture in picture function on their T.V.s (that chances are their 10 year old son or daughter had to show them how to use) to simultaneously watch NASCAR.
I'll miss the visual style, the witty dialog, the unusual scenarios, the off-beat characters and the brilliant music that "Pushing Daisies" came up with on a weekly basis. Shows like these are rarities, and tend not to last.

Posted by SZissou December 5, 08 08:59 PM
  1. I am a huge PD fan, it will be a shame to see it go. Pushing Daisies had "Chemistry", something I have not seen on a program since the 80's, remember Moonlighting? (Probably before your times!) Anyhow, letters, daisies and pies away, we need to see if this one can be saved! Original shows are rare to show up anymore.......

  1. I am most disheartened by the demise of "Pushing Daisies." Unfortunately, it seems as though the only people who truly understood the show are people of literary intelligence. Every creative writer I know loves that show, myself included. It was the first show to bring something wholesome, delightful, and intellectual to the endless barrage of reality TV and shows based on sex. It seems as though a TV show cannot make it unless it contains lawyers, sex, money, and drugs. I was also a big fan of "Eli Stone." I thought it was such a unique way to mix faith and television in a non-preachy kind of way. All of the best ideas are axed. Just look at "Firefly," such a wonderfully dynamic show that was cut before its prime. Instead, we are left with shows like CSI which needed to be cancelled two years ago when it was still good. But, no. Instead CBS keeps beating a dead horse and is actually intending on continuing the show without Gil Grissom. It is a good thing I can at least rely on books to keep me entertained. I might as well just lock my TV up into a closet since I no longer have a use for it.

  1. I am so mad that you are cancelling Eli Stone. There isn't much on your network that I watch besides Lost and ELI STONE. I looked forward to it every Tuesday. Can't you rethink this??? People are ticked about this. Check your rnessage boards. This show is refreshing and fun and quirky and totally original. What were you thinking??? You should give it a bit more time to get it's legs underneath and a better time slot. Come on guys! Get a clue here. We want Eli, We want Johnny Lee Miller and we definitely want Victor Garber. Bad choice people and if you do this I am done with ABC.!!!!!!!

  1. Pushing Daisies is a terrific show. ABC should continue this show because it has a very sweet, original and intriguing story. If ABC doesn't grab this show, hopefully someone else will. Eli Stone should come back too. My wife really likes that show. It was fun to watch too. My loyalty is with Pushing Daisies. So out of the three that have been cancelled, my vote for keeping is with Pushing Daisies.

  1. My husband and I are sick that DSM has been canceled. Unless you like blood, gore, hospital or lawyer shows, there is nothing else to watch! I really don't think they even gave the show a chance! Even Desparate Housewives needed two years to catch on!

  1. The only viewers that dislike Pushing Daisies are the ones that don't have the patience to follow a show that requires some level of THINKING.

It is a witty, clever, wonderful show. The only show I take time to watch.

  1. Pushing daisies is the best show me and my boyfriend had seen in a while.

We don't watch TV much, but we always make a point to watch pushing daisies together every week. It is such a refreshing show to be aired amongst all the sex and violence on TV.

I hope someone picks this show up on another network.

  1. Thank you very much ABC for making more room for MORE cop, doctor and reality shows. If I want reality, all I need to do is watch the news and these days that's more than enough reality. Perhaps when ABC is a dead network, the Pie Man can touch it and we'll learn that it was suicide. Show some creative integrity, keep Pushing Daisies, put it in a good time slot, quit moving it around or prempting it and LET IT GROW! I PICK DAISIES.

  1. I CAN'T believe they are cancelling Pushing Daisies. It's SO entertaining, funny and original! And I agree with the commentors who said they should have cancelled Lost years ago! Give me a break! "Lost" lost it's audience seasons ago. Pushing Daisies is the only thing on ABC worth watching. But apparently some people think The Bachelor is a better use of their time. Oh m yword, our nation is going down the potty!

  1. im beyond stund.....i love pushing daisies i love the whole narrating thing. it reminds me of the wal-greens commercial. i really wish they wouldnt cancel it . it is a twisted version of the midas touch. (im sure if you know what the midas touch is you will know what im talking about) i havent really gotten into a show that has a witty poetic contrast. its a beautiful show and has fantastic story. i look forward to watching it and i look forward for ABC to give it another chance. and as for dirty sexy money and the other shows i dont feel as passionate about. i just dont watch then and havent got into them. i do believe ABC is making a mistake and should be reconsidered. please reconsider this show. i know i should be into more real thing as in the news and politics but i really feel that when i get time alone from the family i can escape to a one hour peace of PUSHING DAISIES. its all i have on tv right now please ABC do it for the fans we are the ones keeping you on the air in the first place. we can take you off.......oh yea i said it......i will turn your OFF . LOL

  1. Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies are two of the most original and entertaining shows on TV. What a horrible decision by the ABC. Grey's anatomy is the only other show I like in their lineup. what's a guy to do - storm ABC? No, we'll do the only thing we can do - complain severely, then stop watching ABC. Please bring them back ABC!

  1. I cried real tears when I heard Pushing Daisies is being cancelled. This has been my #1 favorite show of all time. It is visually stunning and quirky. I adore the characters. I'm shocked it is ending so soon. R.I.P. Pushing Daisies.

Screw reality tv. I'm sick of it and all the cop shows.

Good bye ABC. I'm finished with you for life.

Pushing daisies is one of my fav shows now, im in the music business and im a bartender, so im not home much but i do catch the show online. im really upset to see it go,Lee Pace is a brilliant actor, and not to leave out hot. really this show has so much light and character to it, i cant help but smile when i see the great chemistry these actors have with each other on set.

how do we get it to stay on air?

  1. in my opinion.. and many of my well-eduated friend's opinions, pushing daisies was one of the most brilliant shows to hit television. the language was quick and poetic, as were the visuals, stunning and artistic. it had HUGE heart which is desperately lacking in many of the shows on t.v. these days. so many programs are so formulaic... the same old detective scenes... dead body... glossy model-like stars do fantastic investigations with investigative equipment that doesn't even exist yet. oooohh... ahhhhh! finally, pushing daisies put an intelligent, quirky, magical twist on an old, throttled subject. congratulations to the writers and the actors. it's too bad most people have maintstream sensibilities.

  1. Pushing daisies gone!! I don't think that letting one of the most hysterical shows to ever air on public television is going to help the station's ratings. The people that made this "critical" decicion should be fired or at least publicly humiliated. chuck might just throw herself at the piemaker to end this tragic heartbreak. if chuck dies the whole thing goes up in flames ( not that the cancellation hasn't already put it that way! ) and olive might just go back to being a nun and, and, and, everything goes wrong!!! # 275 is right. let's send them daisies with quotes from the show on them. Or just give me their address and let me at 'em!!!!!!!

I just cannot believe it, they cancelled 2 of the best shows on TV, Boston Legal and Eli Stone. Who is running ABC, a nitwit?

Posted by Bianchi December 9, 08 07:45 PM
  1. This is heartbreaking. Eli Stone was one of the best shows on television. Pushing Daisies was also excellent, in every sense. Don't know about DSM, never saw it.
What is wrong with ABC??? Don't they want to be known for their creative, whimsical, heart-warming shows??
I would dearly love to save Eli Stone from getting the axe. That is quality TV. What a shame.

  1. this is oh so sad. Pushing Daisies is a brilliant show in so many ways...visually stunning, clever writing, poetic dialogue, but mostly, a huge heart. I cannot believe what is cancelled and what remains. I will have to be happy with a measly 2 seasons on DVD. Sniff.

  1. Eli Stone was a fantastic show. The story is great and everyone on it can sing. WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING AT ABC???? You people have stolen something that I could share with my family every Tuesday night. Probably going to plug in some CSI, Law and Order clone. You guys suck and just lost a faithful viewer.

  1. Please don't cancel Eli Stone. This is one show that has no violence and has a moral to each episode. We usually don't stay up that late to watch TV; however, we do so just to watch this wonderful program. Eli Stone gets people to think that there is a greater Being that is guiding us all. We enjoy the musical episodes -- this is entertainment with class! Please reconsider.

  1. What are we talking about people?!!!!!!! I love both Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies! Pushing Daisies is such a creative, imaginative and entertaining show! I am a tv lover and am losing faith with news such as this. I am a huge fan of Boston Legal, which I can get over...but to take Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone and if I look, perhaps Lipstick Jungle off is such a poor decision! Who is not paying attention?!!!! Please understand that I am paying attention networks...Many people are paying attention and you should listen to your audience! You have made great choices with your shows. My dvr does not miss these shows., but change them all and watch what happens to your viewers!

Maybe we'll get another reality show about one of those great shows where someone gets a new wife who's annoying or try to tame the uncontrollable child. OH I know...people who pass gas! There you go ABC- that's the winner!

Pushing Daisies is the most original, visually stunning, and fun dramadies today. What, mabey another CSI knock off?? Or, I know your great Friday line up!! Thats what we need tons more of that crap!!!!!

Dirty Sexy Money is one of the best prime time shows to date, and a jewel in your stable of entertainment. Well written, great actors, and gripping to watch. Again, an original, no cookie cutter show. Whoever makes your programming decisions should be working for the "Big Three" as a CEO of the auto industry, their clearly cut out of the same cloth!!!!

  1. It is quite unfortunate to see Eli Stone go. It is truly a television series of change. Eli Stone offers an brighter reality of changing lives, which is what many people ... many viewers would love to do but do not have the courage. ABC, with Eli Stone, is building the confidence of viewers offering support ti viewers to step out and change the lives of people for the better. If they could only see how this show benefits, not just the viewers but people of America in a positive manner then just maybe they would highly consider leaving this show on air. you know, it is okay to have a television show retaining morals and values. Most people will only take what you give them and if you have morals and values of your own you would not subcomb to providing a television show that lacks the possibility of positively changing the lives of others.
I am not quite sure how the cancelation will benefit them. In fact I believe that canceling this show is a very bad idea and ABC will reap the consequences if that remains to be the case.

  1. No more ABC for me! They probably cancelled all those great shows for more reality shows! We do not need more reality, we need to get out of reality sometimes and just enjoy fun, interesting, heartwarming, great shows. I will miss Eli Stone the most. Finally a show that had everything! Humour, love, music, drama, heartfelt stories. Just like Everwood that also got cancelled (not by ABC). This was a show the whole family could sit, relax and enjoy together. ABC, keep these great shows on! People will start cancelling you!

  1. I am very upset to hear that ABC is not picking up Pushing Daisies for the remainder of season 2. That show is very unique and I actually make time to watch it when it actually comes on. My roommate and I watch it every week without fail, she was just as upset to hear about it. ABC should not cancel the show, they should advertise it better. The show should have continued season 1 in 2008 instead of ending it in December 2007, that was a big mistake and viewers were lost.

Posted by Kathryn December 10, 08 06:04 PM

  1. I absolutely cannot believe that ABC is cancelling Eli Stone. It is, by far, my favorite show, and I've gotten many people to watch it and it has become their favorite show also. Who is making these decisions? If it doesn't work in that timeslot, move it around. Advertise it more. Try to get people to see what a great show it is. There are lots of people like me who want shows with good messages instead of all the trash that's being pushed down our throats. I certainly hope that ABC receives tons of complaints and the powers-that-be change their minds. Otherwise, I'm turned off ABC.

  1. ABC is making a big mistakes by canceling Pushing Daisies. How can a show that is nominated for so many Emmy's is getting cancel the year after. They don't know anything about giving a show a second chance. There is so many bad shows out there that should be cancel. Pushing Daisies is not one of them. This show is fun to watch. I guess we just have to wait for another channel to pick it up and give it another chance. TV is not the same no more, reality tv is not tv, it's not even REAL!!!!! I hope more people speaks out about this and keep this show alive. I hope by the power of people, ABC will listen up and maybe do something about it!!!!!

  1. What is wrong with ABC. All the good shows are being cancelled, while trash stays. Private Practice, TRASH!, Grey's (used to be good) now TRASH. These shows seem to be written by people between 16-20, who think Dr.'s jump in the sack every chance they get while working. They are so stupid, BUT, they stay. However, Eli Stone and Boston Legal (intelligent shows both) GONE!
Oh yeah, and I am looking forward to more brilliant realty shows.
    ABC needs new Management!

  1. In a time when people are losing their homes, jobs, financial security, what do we do...we turn to tv. We turn on a show like Eli Stone that lets us all hope for the better. A show about faith, in a higher power, not one specific power. A show that let us all think we could try to do better. Not only entertained. But as is the custom, networks want an immediate return, and we wonder why children need immediate gratification, either they score a record number or they are gone. No grace period like they did for M*A*S*H, no they can't wait and see, or work to build up the audience. Unfortunately we are the ones who suffer. I guess it is time to change the channel.

I watched the last episode online today and I was like.. you know i really like this show. Then I went to work and a friend of mine told me how ABC was cancelling it! I love that it's whimsical and different. I get tired of the reality shows. Dancing with the stupid stars..... I can care less! Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone bring a balance to TV. Eli Stone, It's been a long time since I've seen anything representing something good. ABC I agree with what others have said, I will not be supporting you if you snatch, cancell or don't pick up the second half of the shows. You are a disservice to viewers like me.

Why don't you big shots listen to the public outcry for a good show to stay instead of trying to replace it with another show. I will no longer be a loyal watcher to shows on ABC should this show be cancelled, it so reminds me of Dallas. I think it should be moved to a different time slot on different day rather then cancelled. If you people are smart you will keep it around!!!!! 1. I am so upset and disappointed to hear that Pushing Daisies is being cancelled. I finally find a show that is a fun and interesting change from the monotonous repeat of ideas packaged slightly different but all serving the same old stale concept . Something more than the shows produced for the simple minded masses. I don't have to mention names I'm sure anyone reading this has had more than a few show titles pop up in their head. What really gets me is that I find a show that my preteen children can get interested in and we can all truly enjoy together without, nudity, explicite make out scences and violence and now it's gone. Isn't there a way to protest this? Is there any hope of finding a way to keep it on? :(

And the networks wonder why the buying demographic under 30 has chosen to entertain themselves elsewhere

  1. Honestly, I would rather see Desperate Housewives or Greys Anatomy go away than Dirty Sexy Money or Eli Stone! Daisies never cought my attention, but after tonights show of DSM I am BEYOND MAD they are taking it away? Tonight ended AWESOME and we will never know what happened?? Eli Stone is based off MORALS - what a concept. Funny they are two different shows and I love them equally. WHo watches Greys Anatomy anymore? Everyone I hear talks trash about how much it sucks and they stopped watching it. Same with Housewives. Get rid of them and keep DSM and ELi!!! REDICULOUS!!!

  1. Eli Stone was annoying. The only reason it even made it on the air was because of the strike. ABC had nothing to air and had this cruddy little show sitting on a shelf. When there's nothing but reruns on Eli Stone was a hit. Up against a crop of new chance. The lead actor brought new meaning to obnoxious. Katie Holmes singing pretty much put the nails in the coffin.

As for PD and DSM...I'll miss these a little. DSM wasn't dirty or sexy enough to get people talking. PD was just too creative. The strike also hurt the show horribly.

  1. Canceling Pushing Daisies is undoubtedly a mistake on ABC's part. The series is original in every aspect including a dynamic cast, unique storyline and amazing set. More so the charm of Ned is irresistible and will be missed! How come every show I get hooked on happens to be on ABC and is ALWAYS canceled? October Road- Bye. Cashmere Mafia- Peace. Dirty Sexy Money- Sayonara. And now I have to say adios to my FAVORITE show. NOT FAIR. I hope another network picks up this fabulous show, or that ABC listens to its viewers and continues the series of Pushing Daisies.

  1. I don't watch TV...except for Eli Stone.. it is a refreshing, entertaining, imaginative, feel good show. The actors were great and it was the one show I watched with my husband..oh well.. this good thing came to an end much too soon.
    Shame on ABC!

  1. DIRTY SEXY MONEY IS MY FAVORITE SHOW!!! Please don't cancel it! It's the best thing since Knot's Landing! I look forward to it each week. I refuse to watch shows like CSI, or other shows that glamorize murder. We need shows that are funny and light and take us away from harsh reality.

  1. What a bad day. Cancellation of Pushing Daises is terrible news. I guess ABC doesn't know a class act when they see it. Had they just given it time the market share would have grown by leaps and bounds. What Idiots...

  1. This sucks!! I was hooked on Traveler, and they canceled it.. Now Dirty Sexy Money!! So disappointing!! What will be left!? Who watches all that other crap ABC keeps?! Maybe I'll just quit watching..anything I get hooked on gets canceled, what's the point..

Posted by Vicki December 11, 08 02:18 PM
  1. If ABC does not keep Eli Stone, why should they keep a show like Gray's Anatomy with it's bad writing and thin plots. In this age when all we can afford is hope, a great show like Eli Stone is salvation.
    Please don't do an NBC!

Posted by cynthia December 11, 08 02:42 PM
  1. ABC should fire the executives who voted to cancel Pushing was not only beautifully shot, it was also the most well written show on TV to date! I hope the sell the show so another network can pick it up. ABC YOU SUCK! But I guess you always have.

Posted by Karen December 11, 08 06:10 PM
  1. Whatever you do please leave Dirty Sexy Money on the air...we love these characters - cut out something else instead of this great entertainment which takes our minds off of reality for a while each week

  1. I felt since the beginning that this show should be on HBO or Showtime. I really have enjoyed it and ABSOLUTELY believe that if people would watch it once they would be hooked. I will be truly saddened when this show ends and will continue to encourage my friends to watch this show during the last 5 episodes in an effort to increase the ratings! I love this show so much and hope that they can answer all our questions and have chuck and the pie maker finally unite fully by the final episode! I wish that many other shows would be cancelled and this show stay on the air!!!!!

Posted by Jessica December 11, 08 11:37 PM
  1. NOT FAIR!
Those three shows are my main shows to watch, and now they are all cancelled?!
I cannot believe it. All three of these shows were so much different than everything else you see on tv nowadays. Eli Stone is one of my favourite shows!! I love Eli! and Dirty Sexy Money..why would they cancel that?! One of the best shows of life! The Darlings are truly amazing! and Pushing of the most entertaining shows I have ever seen, and now it's gone.
I am forever cancelling ABC. :(

what is wrong with you ABC??
once in a while you got some show in your hand and you blew it soo fast?
lets go people, lets make this happen, lets get ABC reconsider or
lets find this show a home in cable.
how can we make this happen?

  1. People of ABC are crazy? Eli Stone is the best series. I love this show.
I don't understand... when a show is the best, they cancel it? I don't understand.
I am from Brasil and all my family likes Eli.
I hate when televisions cancel shows.
Makes me think: I don't watch anymore.

Posted by Monica December 12, 08 08:09 AM
  1. ABC you do stink. You cancel the best shows. Keep DSM!!! And bring back October Road, OR at least finish the stories when you cancel stuff.
YOU ALSO play the STUPID RFS treatment commercial in the morning at the SAME TIME EVERY MORNING, so I can't even watch your news. PLUS your timing with shows it OFF (5 mins sometimes) AND you don't put the right previews on for the right shows (i.e. after General Hospital you do previews for another SOAP). STUPID ABC!

  1. I'm totally shocked! Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money & Eli Stone??!?!?!?!?!?
Three of the only shows on TV worth watching!
No more Pie Maker!?!?! No more Darlings!?!?! No more Eli?!?!?!?
Maybe try them in a different time slot? Maybe put them up against different shows? Try something else!!!!!!!
I cannot believe I don't get to see the Pie Makers smile every week. The smile that has me stupidly smiling back at the TV. So disappointing!!!!!!
I just find it so frustrating that I've invested time in these shows and now I look forward to them every week, but I'm never going to find out what happens to any of the characters!
Are Chuck & the Pie Maker going to find a way to be together forever? Does Chuck get to see her Aunts (Mother) again? Does Olive meet someone else and get over Ned? WIll Emereson find his daughter?
What happens to the deliciously vendictive & cruel Darlings?
What happens to Ei and his visions?

  1. Pushing Daisies was the only reason I didn't just block ABC entirely on my satellite. It was a remarkably clever, well written, visually stunning show. It's obvious that the solution to ABC's programming problems isn't canceling wonderful shows such as PD, rather it will require share holders in the corporation demanding that ABC's management fire the morons who are making decisions of which shows to keep and which to buy. PD is a uniquely compelling series, and I only hope some other broadcaster (perhaps Direct TV) will have the good sense to buy up this property and continue production before the stars and the sets are done away with.

Seriously folks, what on earth coul the management at ABC/Disney be thinking in canceling this remarkable television series?

Posted by Ed Weirdness December 12, 08 01:48 PM
  1. I will definately not be watching much ABC if you are getting rid of dirty sexy money(great acting crew)and Eli (refreashing)Personally I think you are making a huge mistake.Maybe you should try them in a different time slot before you cancel them.

  1. Eli Stone should not be canceled. It is one of the few "feel good" shows on the air. It was one that my entire family could watch and look forward to. I do hope that the ABC executives change their minds, not yielding to the "gloom and doom' mentality of this country, and extend this excellent show.

  1. I'm sorry to see Pushing Daisies go. It was very creative and it had so many interesting twists and turns in the plot. I was really curious to see how things would resolve between Ned and Chuck, with Emerson's daughter, and with Chuck's recent family discoveries. I feel cheated!

Posted by angelofmusic December 13, 08 09:29 AM
  1. Look, never mind calling up ABC to complain... Call up their corporate masters! Call their paying advertisers and tell them that if they allow Pushing Dasies to be canceled, well, maybe we don't need their products. That's the only way to make them listen. Money money money. Go all Emerson Cod on their asses!

  1. pushing daises is an amazing show...i get so fed up with all the hospital and seriously csi crappy type everyone wants serious shows and pushing daisies was finally a show that gave you the mystery, the laughs and with they wonderful color palate all in one sitting...if it's because of ratings you have to realize that since digital video recorders everyone wants to skip commercials...lets get real commercials suck and no one wants to sit through them while you wait for your favorite show to come back on...with pushing daisies gone i'm really feeling like abc sucks...america does not need another negative show to fill the slot...bring back family entertainment no wonder teens of america are so negative...look what you keep on the air...if lipstick jungle is ever gone i will stop watching abc all's the only show worth watching on that channel once pushing daisies is gone...just like october road and that i'm still angry about...

  1. Bring back Pushing Daisies!
Ned and Chuck are my favorite!
And besides, what other shows mix such bright, happy colors with the rather mordbid theme of it all? It's so quirky and great! Bring it back!

    Posted by Lindsay C December 14, 08 10:45 AM
it would be a shame for them to cancel such a great show!
it is a unique and refreshing type of show with a fairytale-like style and quirky plot.
one thing i love about the show is the romantic tension between the leading characters Chuck and the Piemaker. One fine example of the success this type of show can have is Twilight. It is so popular because of its interesting and "quirky" plot and the romatic tension. (Edward is afraid to get too close to Bella because he might hurt her) Fans eat up the tension between Chuck and the Piemaker as he loves her but cannot touch her!
    Save pushing daises!!!!!

Posted by Anna December 14, 08 02:03 PM
  1. Please don't cancel "Pushing Daisies". I look forward to it every week. It is a refreshing change from all the stupid reality shows that are getting OUT OF HAND!!!! Can't you just put it on at an odd day/time, so we can still have it? I love Ned and Chuck, and it is a wholesome (albeit odd story line) show. No swearing, no inappropriate sexual comments, etc. Please reconsider! Plus the acting is superb, as is the writing! Please reconsider, please reconsider, please reconsider, please reconsider!!!!! Need I say more?

  1. Congratulations ABC! You just canceled 2 of the 3 shows I bother to watch on your crappy network, and "Lost " isn't worth wasting my time on anymore. Apparently if a show doesn't feature cops, sex, and violence, it doesn't stand a chance for more than 1 or 2 season. I can tell you one thing, if any network out there does pick up Pushing Daisies, they will have my undivided attention. It was sure nice to have at least one show, even for a little while, that I was not afraid to let my daughter watch with me!

  1. PLEASE ABC DON'T DO THIS!!!! Are you guys crazy? Pushing Daisies is an amazing show with beautiful visuals! Eli Stone is a great show that actually teaches you something!! Dirty Sexy Money is my favorite and I cant believe that you guys would even think about cancelling this show!!!!! I thought your network was the BEST....but if you do are just gonna suck like the rest of the networks. ABC be smart about this....the people are telling you that they love these shows....listen to the people!!!

  1. Pushing Daisies was such a great show. My friends and I absolutely loved it...and considering it showed up after "p" on my Google search, I'd say that my friends and I aren't the only ones that will miss it.

And what of Eli Stone? Didn't they just come out with that? Wasn't it huge or something? What about Katie Holmes being on there? That was huge enough to keep it on air? ....And I LOVED the Darlings!

Posted by Cindy December 15, 08 06:29 PM
  1. I'm disappointed that they're cancelling Pushing Daisies. There doesn't seem to be much on TV these days that isn't saturated with sex, violence, and language. It's too bad that they chose to cancel one of the few that actually was worth watching and that you could watch with your kids. It's going to get to the point where you can't watch anything anymore.

Posted by Tracy December 15, 08 07:18 PM
  1. Pushing Daisies, one of the best shows to come along in years, is not young and hip and happening. It's not a droll police show or a mindless reality show. That's the bottom line. ABC ought to be ashamed of themselves for bumping a really wonderful show. Of course the midwestern morons don't get it, and that's where the neilson's come from. BOO TO ABC!!!!!!

Posted by david December 15, 08 07:42 PM
  1. I am so sad that ABC is canceling Eli Stone. This show is funny, heartwarming, serious, suspenseful, quirky....all in the same episode. You couldn't help but come back week after week to find out what would happen next. The writing was clever and the characters were unique, and the cast had a special chemistry. Like most of the other posters have already said, it always had a positive message and left you feeling refreshing from the rest of the trash on broadcast TV today. But what made this show something special was its mass appeal. (keep reading to next post)

  1. (continued) Eli Stone is the only show for which my entire family, kids and adults alike, came together every Tuesday evening to watch the unfolding drama of Eli and his friends. There were no fights to change the channel, no interruptions, no bickering....we were all focused on the drama and inspiration that Eli Stone offered. And when the show ended, we went our separate ways again. What other show can you say does that? Or even comes close? I will say this....I dearly hope another cable channel reads this and picks up Eli Stone, as I would pay ANY cable subscription fee to keep this show in my home, teaching my kids about compassion, faith and humanity. God bless Eli Stone.

Posted by Dan December 15, 08 11:19 PM
Pushing Daisies is a well written, clever and entertaining show inspired by the French cinema du détail (ie Amélie Poulain). The characters are bloody well casted and full of humour. The Picture is original, unusual and the scripts ally fairy tale and dark humour with verve. We cannot believe ABC is even considering removing it from its scheduling when you know that shows like Desperate Housewives (that I used to watch but has now become far-fetched and unbelievable), the crap Ugly Betty (by the way, the german and the spanish versions that were released previously to the US one are WAY better) or the offendingly stupid Bachelor (so poor that the French version was cancelled after the second season and the UK one is already terminated as well) are dragging on and boring the public to death....
This decision is stupid and disappointing!!!

TV and the movies take you away from reality! Pushing Daisies was wonderful, light-hearted, and original, it made for a great date night with my fiancee! Thank you ABC for bringing us up out of the economy and other world problems for an hour or so, just to drop us back into it even further! Good move on your part - way to get more loyal viewers! (Insert sarcasm here)

  1. ABC YOU SUCK!!!!! How can you take off Pushing Daisies!?! It's a wonderful, one of a kind show that everyone can enjoy!!! Sorrrrrry if it lacked the forensics/ sex / violence theme that every other show out there has!! I don't need to watch people getting it on every 5 seconds with everyone or watch stuff blow up for an hour or watch some other lame brained reality tv show. The heck with your channel, you have nothing to offer anymore!

I hope they put out the rest of the episodes on DVD so we can enjoy them and I'll definitely buying them! I'm going back to NETFLIX!!!!!!

  1. Too bad about Eli Stone, it was one of the 3 shows on network TV that my family actually made the effort to tune in to. Guess what, ABC? There's nothing on your network worth watching anymore. When my family isn't tuned into The History Channel or The Disney Channel, we're going to be watching The Big Bang Theory and The Mentalist on CBS.

Posted by Lisa December 16, 08 02:40 PM
  1. ABC, what is the matter with you...I watched three of your shows religiously..

    Pushing Daisies
    Eli Stone
    Ugly Betty
Now I'm down to one! And don't even talk to me about reality shows. What a waste!

(I was just warming up to LIfe on Mars, but I'm told there will be new episodes in January! That had better be true!!)

  1. Eli Stone is an example of a show that needs MORE episodes to gain regular viewers. How can anyone expect any show that is given 13 episodes, a long summer break, then come back hit and miss, changing days, etc. to succeed? All of the networks need to stop thinking of ratings like it is still 1990. Dramas and production shows will not be getting those shares again. Lower the cost of producing the shows and commit to 26 episodes so the fan base can build. In the current 10 PM slot it will run against Jay Leno in the fall. This will be a good alternative for people who don't want to watch a talk show. Give it a chance!

Posted by Leonard December 17, 08 02:34 AM
  1. ABC WHAT ARE YOU THINKING??? Why are you canceling Eli Stone? This is one of the best shows on the air. It's funny, entertaining, original and something my entire family can watch. Reality shows, violence and sex, is that what you're looking for in ratings? Very poor decision on your part. You will be losing viewers on this one. Cable TV anyone????

Posted by Barbara December 17, 08 11:29 AM
  1. Well up until last week I was a neilson family and we watched pushing daisys religiously. So much for that - our 30,000 people worth of watching wasn't enough to convince ABC but they're messing up all over the place anyhow.

I thought it was artistic and much different then everything else you tend to see. New genres are needed, I hate straight drama, so having a dramatic comedy was great. I'd expect a movie would be the best extension of the series.

Posted by Mag Nanamous December 17, 08 12:16 PM
  1. Pushing Daisies was the last good-hearted, well-written, enjoyable show on television and to cancel it showcases the demise of good, clean entertainment. America needs more shows like Pushing Daisies and ABC should be ashamed for taking such a wonderful show off the air.

Pushing Daisies was adorable and entertaining and so was Dirty Sexy Money! Maybe the latter not so adorable but man was it entertaining! I was upset that it was on at 10:00 because I get up so early it was hard to stay up and watch and I don't DVR. I'm am so mad that they will be off the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. I had about given up on TV---most of the programming is TRASH--but then along came a new show---Pushing Daisies, well written, directed, designed, and the actors are performers. I should have known they would cancel the one show that takes an intellect to enjoy.

  1. I am devastated about Pushing Daisies!!! I haven't missed an episode since the show started...I was so angry about October Road last year and now they go and take a masterpiece like PD off the air!!! I was a theatre major in college and loved the technical stylings of the show not mention the quippy yet intelligent writing, the utterly brilliant acting talent! I'm going to miss seeing KC, Lee and the rest of the crew...these are some of my favorite actors!!!

Not that they'd do it, but I'd love for USA to pick up the series...then I could watch 3 of my fav shows on one channel!!! If not for Ugly Betty, I'd give up ABC entirely!!! MORONS!!!

I don't understand how everyone in America agrees that our morals and manners have dissipated and yet when they make something as beautiful and heartwarming as "Pushing Daisies" they dispose of it. I LOVED that show, it was a wonderful escape from the daily worries and lack of imagination we all have to deal with everyday.
Its a shame that TV has become so empty headed.

  1. Pushing Daisies is the best show to come along in a long, long time. It is intelligently and cleverly written, superbly acted and visually stunning to watch. It just doesn't pay to get invested in any TV show anymore because the networks are clueless when it comes to scheduling and keeping a program on long enough and in one timeslot long enough to get the ratings to their satisfaction. For once it would be nice for them to think about the fans.

  1. Pushing daisies is awesome. Maybe they will decide to keep it on the air
another season at least, once they realize what a mistake they are making.

  1. Do the ABC people even care about the fans!!! All they think we care about is crappy shows. Pushing Daisies was one of the great shows that has been on TV in a long time. This is what TV was all about, entertainment. Enjoying what you watched and letting your imagination take over. So I guess they will replace Pushing Daisies with some more crap!! This is one show that I made time for, and I don't watch hardly any TV because all that is on is crap!!! ABC should give this show another chance and for once listen to the fans.!!

  1. Pushing Daisies is a GREAT show and should not be cancelled. In fact, it should keep going for a couple more seasons! They have committed a mistake and need to see just how badly this decision is. The storyline is creative, the actors and dialogue is innovative. It is seriously unique by itself and ABC should be grateful that they have them, when other great stations such as NBC or CBS would kill for them.

  1. Im very upset Pushing Daises was cancelled!!!! Do they not take into acount the number of people who Tivo it? Im a busy person with school and a job but I recorded it and found its quirky, crazy, witty, eposides as a nice escape from the world and the cheesy soap operas on TV. This show was light yet deep with highly loveable characters and enough witty lines and allusions to keep you on your toes.

  1. You guys really need to have your heads examined... there are other shows which should have been LOST after the first season are still on... Pushing Daises was well written, colorful, & a pleasant escape into a world where funny things gel together so perfectly... each character stood on their own with his/her own story line that each week never failed to amuse me... what a downward spiral ABC is on with the canceling of Daisies, along with Eli Stone & Dirty Sexy Money... take heart people, we still have NBC & CBS....

  1. what the hell, cancel pushing daisies its just not right, that is the best show ive ever seen, it has a great detective mystery parts, and a lovely platonic romance, please say they will at least give us a ending

  1. I am extremely disappointed to see these shows go. Eli Stone had fast become one of my favorite shows on television. Dirty Sexy Money, one of my mom's. Pushing Daisies was also a great show, how unfortunate to see decent shows be pulled due to a "small" fanbase.

Why not get rid of the bullshit like the Bachelor? Honestly, reality television is the worst thing to happen in the entertainment industry in the last fifteen years, bar none.

I want Eli Stone back :(

  1. Ned needs to touch Pushing Daisies and bring it back to life for ABC.....Its an amazingly wonderful show that just makes my Wed night :) Its clever, visually creative, and fresh. It does get a little redundent at times, but its so easy to look past the same explanation for Neds troubles over and over because it still brings a smile to my face Plus I have yet felt the urge to punch the characters in the face like I've felt with Grey's (which I also do watch) but seriously- Merideth and Lexi have gone crazy in a bad way.

  1. i agree with Bob, you can honestly turn of the sound on Pushing Daisies and it is still a brilliant show, the colors, and the characters were and looked like regular people but in a semi fantasy world. Just because there isn't nudity or someone getting killed by the mafia doesn't mean it isnt an extremely great show, that opens many peoples minds and was an escape for many as well. I hope somehow ABC can please bring back this show, its so different, something that we all need once in a while.

  1. Hey all these shows are being cancelled, it's for everyone; so all those who hate Pushing Daisies, can you please stop ragging on it? It's like kicking us fans when we are already down. That being said, it was one of the best shows I've seen and ABC sucks for canceling it! I hope they come through with the movie. Between ABC and CBS screwing around with all of the shows I love I'm quickly losing the reason to watch anything on tv.

  1. Watching the show every Wednesday has become something in my weekly schedule. It's not a show that puts me in a dismal mood, it makes me hopeful. Pushing Daisies is a guaranteed smile. Why have more reality tv shows? All they are, are messed up boring people. Don't cancel Pushing Daisies. It's the one of the last ORIGINAL tv shows.

  1. I am hardly surprised in the news that ABC is not going to re-new Eli Stone; in fact, ABC has always wavered in their support of this show ever since it was first aired, as it even took herculean efforts to save the show last year. However, I (like many others) am again extremely disappointed in their recent decision. Eli Stone has been a fresh show, with a strong cast, that has been creatively constructed. The show has perhaps been ‘edgy’ for certain viewers because it challenges our decision making—our choices—and asks that we at least consider “doing the right (ethical) thing”, and it even uses the oft maligned legal profession to lead this ‘challenge’. It has been a refreshing show as well, because it stands in stark contrast to the constant barrage of Reality Shows that promote (at times) base behavior. In essence, I think the value of Eli Stone is to highlight the best (or better) of what we can be, as a brief respite to the myriad of the Reality Shows that highlight the lesser of our character traits. Eli Stone is also artistically appealing; it does this in a novel approach—e.g., dancing scenes of visions, etc—that I find fun and entertaining. Thus, I am hard pressed to see why ABC wouldn’t support this show more, especially with the constant consumer feedback that there is a stable fan base for this show (perhaps a small group right now). However, as a consumer, perhaps the best way for me to respond is to send in this note, and then choose not to view shows on ABC. I would hope that other supporters of Eli Stone would follow suit!

  1. Pushing Dasies Rocked,

I am sorry to see it go.. finally a show with something orginial on tv.. why is it that shows that have something orginial to offer end up getting canceled.. But I was glad to see Women's Murder Club go I did enjoy it but did we really need another CSI/LAW and Order type show and same with all the dr shows on the air right now almost all the same cases, who is sleeping with who, sarcastic humor etc. but back to my point Pushing Daisies was orginial and worth watching.. all you haters out there look at how much tv is the same these days and over done (CSI & Law and Order and all the drs shows) out there and you will find not much is coming good these days

  1. i am so incredibly disappointed that pushing daises is is such a whimsical show and now a days with all the violence and reality crap out there it was something I could watch with my kids, heck they even stay up past their bedtime to watch that one with me. I don't know if there is anything that can be done to save it but if it can I want to know so I can help. Come on, don't just kill the innocent, colorful, shows because you feel not all the right people are watching it...we may not be many but we are dedicated and LOVE pushing daisies. Would it really kill you to keep it on?

I am sooooooo _issed. What is with the fools who make these decisions? and then they keep on the horrible reality shows. SAVE ELI STONE !!!

  1. I must say I'm not suprised that they cancelled pushing daisies. I thought it had been cancelled after it's first season. When I got it for Christmas this year I was thrilled, even more so when I found out that it had started a second season. I really really hoped it would be like one tree hill. For those of you that don't watch, it had really sucky ratings at first noone was watching it and they planned to cancel, now look at it in it's sixth season with millions apon millions of fans, all because they gave it a chance. I say the same for this show. There is nothing like it on tv and without it I fear my faith in television has been crushed that such a fantastic show was cancelled. It was visually fantastic and I loved all the characters. It was a unique show, nothing else was anything like it. That is one of the things that appeiled most to me. Also I couldn't belive the age range of viewers, I'm sixteen and me and all my friends who have seen it love it, my grandma does to, even my mom and my older sisters like it now. All I can say is that if they are stupid enough to cancel it I can only hope and pray that it will be picked up by another network or made into and feature film, like firefly. I only have one closing thing to say YOU SUCK ABC FOR CANCELING THE ONLY GOOD SHOWS ON TV!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Sarah Johnson December 29, 08 08:59 PM
  1. Eli Stone was really the only show I liked/watched on ABC and it was on at a good time (after NCIS and the Mentalist on CBS). I still believe that NBC and CBS have better line up during the week so I know I won't be tuning into ABC anymore - even the late night line up is poor. I know they are bringing Scrubs back and to ABC and I really did like that show, once upon a time ago.

I just saw the supposedly last episode of Eli Stone. Very sad that it won't continue, it was a good show. It was creative and original. I hope you know what you are doing, ABC, because from the sounds of these postings above - you lost a lot of viewers. FYI... Reality TV and cops shows are not needed. You may want to rethink your decision by "not picking up" the rest of the seasons of these shows. Those shows were original and creative. Really, truly think about it.

Posted by Kacie December 30, 08 10:27 PM
  1. I just finished watching Eli Stone and it may have been the last episode. Great episode. I have to admit I had tears in my eyes knowing a show of this caliber will no longer be seen. There isn't much worthwhile on TV and the only shows I watched were on ABC: Boston Legal, DSM, Eli Stone and Life on Mars. Three are now gone and possibly LOM might be gone. ABC was heads above the other networks for putting on quality shows. Not now. They have replaced the above shows with 'trash'.

  1. ABC is getting as stupid as NBC, it's no wonder viewers are turning to cable channels for good one hour episodic television,, Eli Stone was a keeper.
    ABC is a loser....

  1. Eli Stone was a great program and I am so sorry to see it go. There is so much crap reality on TV and every time I get involved in an uplifting show, it's not around for long. (Example, "Ed" which was cancelled quickly). I have to admit that the writing wasn't the best this season--a lot of illogical story lines--but that shouldn't destroy the show. It was on too late for the audience it attracts and this season's visions were tame compared to last. Fix it up and keep it, ABC!! It could be a great popular family show. Put it on at 7 pm and make the visions flashy again. People will LOVE it.

  1. What is wrong with the networks? Or is it the viewing public that is off track? Eli
Stone and Pushing Daises were just about the only shows worth watching. The were funny and creative, with tremendous artistic direction, and a moral to the stories.

Is there anythng we can do to change this decision?

  1. The only shows we watch on ABC are Pushing Up Daisy's & DSM. We were so pleased that ABC was showing the quality of such shows as Pushing Up Daisy's and DSM. The acting and story line of both shows are excellent..Both shows were entertaining as well. We hope ABC will reconsider and continue these excellent shows.

  1. I am outraged. I only watch one show. Pushing Daisies. It cuts me deeply hearing that this little piece of enchantment in an otherwise drab world is going to be gone. I looked forward every episode, each one put me in a lovely and charming mood just like the show. It was a fabulous escape and so brilliantly cast and written. The ambiance of the show was like no other and I am at a loss to describe how very let down I am by this. Honestly i feel betrayed. Bossip Girl can go the way of syndication...not but a Sex and the City rip off. Pushingf Daisies is a one of a kind original. I can only hope that another network will pick it up, perhaps the BBC. They are not afraid of the unusual or macabre or in suporting a dying art like that of Pushing Daisies. I am just sick.

  1. wow. i hadn't loved anything on network tv this much in years. whoever thinks cancelling is the way to go obviously doesn't care if TV has anything worthwhile. god forbid there be anything smartly written and as beautifully filmed or perfectly cast ... as pushing daisies or eli stone. briefly my faith in "America's" broadcasting had been restored. thanks abc for disappointing me once again. At least we have USA and HBO to go back to, especially now that Grey's and Housewives have become ridiculous .

Beats having my brain cells killed off by the reality show crap the juvenile network executives are trying to feed us these days. I guess they just can't seem to see much beyond their own immediate gratification.
I did write ABC. I do encourage others to do so. But I cant help feeling cynical. I'm not really confident these network executives can even read themselves.

  1. Canceled Pushing Daisies: Guess I can take the ABC affiliate here in Philadelphia off my TV. This was one of the most original series in recent TV history. I guess it was too original and the vast majority of the American TV viewers just didn't get it. Too bad.

As several others have posted, I guess we'll get more of the trivial drivel that fills the rest of the airways. More "Biggest Loser" or CSI: Bumfuk, Iowa"

  1. The cancelation of Pushing Daisies was absolutely ludicrous. ABC already has some of the weakest programming out there. Yet they have actually found a way to go from bad to worse. In fact the ONLY thing I ever watched on ABC was "Pushing Daisies". So boycotting them will be EXTREMELY EASY.

They have cancelled the most creative, imaginative and original shows on TV, Pushing Daisies. So what did the network "Brain Trust" replace it's time slot with?

SCRUBS??? Are you SERIOUS??? A show so trite, predictable and unfunny that it had already been cancelled on another network? That's the best they could come up with?

Who makes these decisions? A liqoured up Chimp with a dartboard? Somewhere at ABC corporate headquarters there is a CEO laughing himself silly because he can screw things up as much as humanly possible knowing he will still get his bonus. You have to love it, only in America are CEO's rewarded for incompetance.

This decision ranks right up there with the one FOX made when they cancelled "Family Guy", truly one of the all-time great DUH! moments in TV history. SIMPLY BRILLIANT!

  1. Why in the world would you cancel a show that has been well casted, acted, written, produced, and directed, along with awesome makeup and set design? That just doesnt make since to me. I am of course talking about Pushing Daisies. They've got the best of the best. We've had our fill of meaningless family sitcoms, sex shows, reality shows, game shows, and even murder shows, and now we're going to loose the bit of change that we had?! Heaven forbid there be a show about true love -with no sex. This show is funny, heart wrenching, and so incredibly lovable, ... all I can say is WHY?!
Maybe I'm just a 16 year old girl that likes this kind of stuff but am I the only one that notices that this is art? Each setting is so elaborate with every detail throughout it. Each murder is comically done to show no blood at all: man gets ran over by a car, he has tire tracks on him. The script is written so well. Casting. Goodness that should be obvious, everyone in the cast is great! And that must be so much fun to act out.
I become a fan while watching season two, and then season one when I got the dvd for Christmas, and I've come to look forward to Wednesdays at 7 just as much as Fridays. It's like a movie every week.
This show gives us a break from our normal lives too. Does Ned have financial trouble while running the Pie Hole, no. Does Emerson have a stressful cigarett break, no he nitts! The show draws us away, if only for a while, to a place where everything is brightly colored, where its so different from our every day life that we can't help but be interrested. Even the aunts who never leave their house are lovable. How many times to you come across a show like this? The aunts make me want to try that pear and cheese (I think its Gouda?) pie, Olive makes me want to jump on a bed and giggle, Emerson .. well what can I say about him other than "oh HELL no!" and that leaves Ned and Chuck, the perfectly sculpted love story that leaves two childhood sweethearts to the point where they can never touch, which sends viewer's hearts on flight. Them not being able to touch makes them respect and cherish eachother more than anyother couple you'll see on television.
I hope someone will read this and help. Why should a show this magnificent be taken off? I may only be in High School but I know a good think when I see it.
To me, getting rid of Pushing Daisies is like getting rid of dessert. You've still got your meal, but thats always the same, everyone looks forward to dessert. So why not dish them up a peice of pie?

  1. Pushing Daisies is an amazing show. It is well written, visually stimulating and does not rely on sex or violence to create a plot. They use great actors, super writing skills and a respect for the intelligence of the viewers to create thoughtful, entertaining shows. So of course, ABC cancelled it! MORONS. Why on earth would ABC do this?? I am so upset and saddened by this insane move by ABC. I feel cheated as a viewer and angry that ABC is ending this wonderful show without giving the viewers answers to the many questions we still have about Chuck and Ned. Shame on you ABC!!!

  1. Of course Pushing Daisies is unrealistic. That is what makes it so much fun to watch, granted it's not as realistic as other popular shows, like that one where there is a black fog security system killing half clad cast aways that are trying to elude wild polar bears on tropical isles only to have the whole island just *poof* and not near as useful as the show that has every potential juror in the world thinking that they are crime solving super heroes but it is the closest thing you are going to get to a family program now days. Too bad Chuck and The Pie Maker couldn't have found more creative uses for that saran wrap, the show might still be

ABC, NBC, CBS have SO much crap on the air, if it was up to me I'd pull their licenses.

I'm one of the oddballs who didn't care for DSM; the other two were, IMO, worth watching.

  1. While I didn't usually watch Pushing Daisies, my mom and sister did. And after a while I couldn't help but turn to watch. Pushing Daisies is so unlike the tv shows that are on the air. It's bright and quirky compared to the dark and copy-cat detective dramas and repetetive shows about sex, money, and drugs. Pushing Daisies had a talented cast that brought humor and originality to the screen. If anything, ABC made a bad choice of cancelling this diamond in the rough.

  1. NBC was stupid enough to take a good show, Friday Night Lights, and move it to satellite tv, exclusively. Must not have had a lot of folks who switched over because they are now bringing it back to the network. I hope ABC will see the stupidity of cancelling Eli Stone and bring it back. It is the best show going right now! Refreshing & Uplifting with great characters!

Perhaps they will replace it with something equally stunning but then ABC would cancel it after a season or two anyways. Sigh. Good bye to another brilliant show…

  1. We will mourn the abrupt ending of the fantastic show that is Pushing Daises, that's the kind of show this world needs.

  1. I cannot believe that you took Eli STONE off . It was one of the best shows on ABC. You can bet you have lost me as a viewer. You could take some or the other trash off TV for my part.

  1. AAAGGGHHH! I am so upset! I thought it was just a vicious rumor that Dirty Sexy Money was going to be cancelled!! I loved that show... Sutherland was playing his part so well- loved all the twists and turns- what a true bummer. Who can we all write to to make them keep it on????

  1. Once I discovered Pushing Daisies this fall, I set a timer so that I wouldn't miss it. It was fun, witty, light-hearted. When it was over, I would turn off the TV because nothing else was worth my time. Boy, was I disappointed tonight when I turned on the TV tonight and it was missing.

  1. I am with ALL of you who are shocked, p__st, ticked, angry with ABSee-what!!!
I can't believe it, either. My ONLY favorite show! I can't watch this other crap!! I hate all those CSI and Criminal minds...... I do not watch them. Tried a couple times and had to change the channel. I seriously, only watch 2 1/2 Men and DS$$ on a regular weekiy basis. And Bernie Mac re-runs during the day. I can't stand Grey's A. I can't think of anything else that I enjoy, besides movies and 2 1/2 Men. Dirty SM, Bernie.........oh, and American Idol. And I enjoyed Nashville Stars a lot. Probably canceled.
PLEASE don't cancel Dirty SEXY MONEY!!!!!!

  1. Why... why pushing daisies.... ABC could have cancelled any other show, but not pushing daisies.... Its one of the most creative and romantic series i've seen, i guess ill turn off the TV for a long time, there's nothing worth to see, I agree with annie, I can't stand that CSI crap.

  1. I am very upset that they're canning Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies. They're great shows with a fresh idea. Eli Stone gives you hope that there really are good people in the world that want to make a difference. Even if you don't believe in God you can get a lot out of it. And Pushing Daisies is a new idea on crime and solving it. Ok, maybe it's a little far-fetched but it lets you escape your real, boring lives. I'm a loyal fan of both and it would be wonderful if they could come back.

it is my favorite show. in fact its one of the only things i watch on TV anymore.
its not like the rest of the drama and soap opera crap on TV. i really wish they would have at least finished out the season. i was looking forward to this show ever since the writers strike and now they are cancelling it!! grrrrrr

Posted by Donnie January 8, 09 08:11 PM
  1. Why was Pushing Daisies canceled? It was the best show on TV. ABC canceled after the most suspenceful episode. I've been waiting 3 weeks for it to show up and check the schedule for the next time Pushing Daisies would show up two weeks in advance, and stupid Lost takes its timeslot !! I wanted to see why that was and found out about the terrible news. I just wanted to cry : ' ( . I HATE ABC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is pretty much all I wanted to say.

Posted by Ray January 8, 09 08:46 PM
  1. I love Pushing Daises. I'm tired of waiting almost a year for Lost and given lame options instead. I'm sorry to all you fans of Grey's Anatomy. Didn't we already see the show about doctors who don't behave like real doctors and go to bed with everyone on the show in one season. I think it was called ER .They leave sex filled trash on the air like 90210 and Gossip Girl but cancel shows that are original and better acted. Firefly got canceled, Dead Like Me and now this. What's next True Blood and Dexter.

Posted by Amy January 8, 09 09:38 PM
  1. SERIOUSLY?! How could ABC cancel Pushing Daisies? Out of all the shows on ABC, it was the only original series! The one other good series, Grey's Anataomy, is becoming such a joke that I can't even watch it. At least with Pushing Daisies, you had originality, (Kristen Chenoweth), an amazingly ingenious premise, and a visually stimulating show! Well, I guess now that they have cancelled the one GREAT show on television, and are screwing with the second; I'll be watching more movies. Thanks ABC. You OBVIOUSLY know what you're doing. Oh what a brilliant staff you must have! Bring on the brain dead rejects for reality TV! What other dribble will you keep on ABC? I really want to know!

Posted by Josh January 9, 09 01:03 AM
  1. They finally put a show on there that sparks the imagination, a show that you don't mind sitting through commercials for, a show that you talk to you friends about what might happen on the next episode. And then they cancel it half way through the season?! They are going to be leaving us all hang to top it off!!! DON"T CANCEL PUSHING DAISIES!!!!

Posted by Nicole January 9, 09 09:18 AM
  1. I dont get addicted to tv shows very often, but Pushing Daisies captured my heart after only a few episodes. I will be very upset when it goes off the air. Is there anything we can do to stop it? And i agree wit is a wonderfully imaginative show that lets us escape from the same old stories. There will be no show like it....every Wednesday without this show will be a sad time indeed.

Posted by Katie January 9, 09 12:11 PM
  1. We will miss Pushing Daisies so much! What an intelligent and different show. Seems like we need to make room for MORE "reality shows," a/k/a brainless drivel. What a shame. One more thing that made us have to pay attention, gone. Thanks, ABC...

Posted by Martha January 9, 09 02:21 PM
  1. With the cancellation of Pushing Daisies I have lost all faith in humanity. Okay, well that may be extreme, but seriously, it was so refreshingly different. Thank you ABC, for choosing crap over quality.

  1. Why cancel the unique shows with solid fan bases, such as Pushing Dasies?! A clever and beautiful program, one which would surely only see it's fan base grow, it's probably going to be replaced with some mindless nonsense cookie-cutter show that people could find anywhere else on any other network. It would be MUCH smarter of the networks to KEEP shows like this!! What a shame that these networks appear to be run by idiots!! Boooo!

Posted by Mindy January 9, 09 08:16 PM
  1. Truely gutted that Pushing Daisies has been cancelled. Imagine not having the guts to back such a unique and entertaining show that was such a joy to watch.
I can only hope that enough folk get onto ABC and make them pick it up again.

Posted by April January 10, 09 03:52 PM
  1. rip ... Pushing Daisies... Doctor Seuss meets David Lynch. I really enjoyed Eli Stone too. I was happy with whomever signed these shows to the network. Now I'm sure that they'll just be replaced with two shows that get cancelled next year.... same time, same channel.

  1. Big mistake Eli Stone was by all means one of the most unique shows on TV. Instead of cancelling it why not try it at a different time slot. Maybe you might find more fan base. It is not like ABC is #1 in the ratings themselves. Maybe we should cancell ABC for the second half of the season.

Posted by Brad Hickox January 11, 09 03:26 PM
  1. ABC placed Scrubs in Pushing Daisies slot on wed. night and I was so sad! Scrubs is on its final season so maybe Pushing Daisies will come back after scrubs if finally over? Sad sad sad.

  1. ABC - seriously?!!?! I cannot believe how ridiculous stations are getting. Eli Stone was an AMAZING show. It had humor and poignancy with singing! Does it get any better? Okay, true there were rough patches - but think how many marriages would be over if every time there was a rough patch people divorced. . . oh wait, nowadays they do!! Seriously people, put a little work and effort into it and see what develops. It's sad to see how we (as a whole - not pointing individual fingers) are so unwilling to work for anything these days. If we do not receive instant gratification, we walk away. (Are you listening big corporations?!) It's too bad. Very disappointing. I'm sure some trashy, flashy pointless show exploiting some everyman will take it's place. It is sad what is passing for entertainment these days. Shame on you ABC. (PS I belong to the under 30 crowd, by the way.)

  1. "Pushing Daisies was an excellent show. It was like a cartoon for adults who are still young at heart." Love this statement!!! It is very true!! I loved it because it was so different than the every other show on T.V. It is fun, quirky, colorful. The cast was absolutely terrific! It's like they were made perfectly for their characters. It should NOT be canceled!!! Why is it we can't have good shows that are not riddled with sex, profanity, greed and indecent exposure......and the reality shows? Give me a break? This stuff is not entertainment! I guess I will be sticking with Hallmark and T.V Land.

Posted by Brenda January 12, 09 11:26 AM
  1. I am stunned, STUNNED that ABC is considering cancelling Eli Stone. It is one of the BEST TV shows on the air today. Values, morals, GOOD PEOPLE, AND entertainment. Is ABC allergic to this great combination? Give me a break. I will absolutely boycott ABC if that happens.

After the 1st season I bought the BOXED SET! I work at a Video Store and we got the DVDS to rent..I kept telling everyone........RENT ELI STONE!! You will love it! ALL I got back was very postitve feedback! CRUSHED with tears in my eyes is ALL I can say. ELI STONE deserves to -AT the VERY LEAST- finish out the SEASON! What an ABSOLUTE disappointment...This show was a no doubt about it, GOTTA be home to see it.... I plain & simply LOVE Eli Stone.... RECONSIDER???

  1. I looked 'briefly' at one of the replacement shows, TRUE BEAUTY. It's not true and it's not beauty. It's uglier than ugly betty. This show can't possibly last and neither will homeland security, ugh. Unfortunately ABC won't replace these losers with winners. We are into 'reality TV' which translates to mean that most of America's IQ's are lower than the speed limit. ABC is appealing to the 'moronic society'. Let's face it people. No one cares what you and I think! Study Roman history. The moment it succumbed to hedonism, it collapsed. These 'reality' shows are a form of hedonism..

My husband and I are extremely disappointed that it has been cancelled.Eli Stone is another one of our favorites. Jonny Miller is so entertaining. Once again, we were looking forward to the new season.
What is wrong with people? Yes, everyone has their own opinion, but, come on! Do people only want reality show garbage? ABC...honestly, year after year, you keep making the wrong decisions. Perhaps, one day, ABC will be no longer..

  1. I watch Dirty Sexy Money religiously!!! It IS the greatest show on TV today... I love Private Practice as well but I'm sooooo disappointed to see Dirty Sexy Money go. If ABC does this anymore I'm going to be forced to stop watching. I loved October Road as well and right when I got into it they canceled it!!! I'm sick and tired of this nonsense. Grey's is really starting to get old with the ups and downs in all the relationships and the stupid work drama!!!! I'm also sick and tired of all the dumb reality shows... except Extreme Home Make over that is a truly great show simply for the fact that it sows that there are some good human beings in this world. Take some of that money, and put it into keeping some of the other good shows on the air rather than offering pathetic amounts of money to publicly humiliate yourself. Well ABC I'm pissed...

  1. Please reconsider dumping Pushing Daisies, some of us just need that fairy tale. We have had it with reality Tv, cop shows, evil nasty beautiful people we just want a break. Pushing Daisies was that break we all needed from reality. Some place just cute and sweet in a silly way and escape. Please don't take this away. How about putting it on Sat. when nothing is on worth watching. People will find it and love it, don't take a break an put something else in its place, please just leave our shows where we can find them. Or sell it to scfi thats where we go when you dummies take our fun things away. It would fit in great with Eureka or Dr Who.I still have not forgiven abc for what you did with Lost.

  1. I loved Pushing Daises and Eli Stone! They were one of the very few shows I would watch. I knew Pushing Daisies was on the edge of falling, but I wasn't aware Eli Stone was as well. What a great disappointment. I know Pushing Daisies could be "corny" at times, but it was starting to become more interesting.

Pushing Daisies on the other hand was one of my most favorite TV shows of all time. I felt like a part of me died when I found out it had been canceled.

For a minute I thought my DVR was broken since I hadnt seen the show for sometime, how awful to learn that its been cancelled. What shows will ABC be airing now aside from Wheel of Fortune? I hope they reconsider and bring the show back IN ITS ORIGINAL FORM!

ELI STONE, ELI STONE, ELI STONE, ELI STONE, ELI STONE, ELI STONE, ELI STONE...start a petition and put it on a channel that has the common sense to know quality, HUMAN, good sense broadcasting instead of the trash they get excited about. It's an insult to American intelligence which has narrowed tremendously. Thank God the new administration will help bring everyone back to their sensibilities.

  1. I would have to agree what a crock. Pushing daisies was the ONLY show i watched on ABC regularly. now what have they got... Total disappointment. i loved Pushing daisies. last year when that wtiters strike hit and the show was semi cancelled until the new season i was disappointed, but this this is atrocity. I mean COME ON WHERE THE HELL IS YOUR COMMUNICATION YOU MORONS!!!! talk about poor business practices. typical of corporate jack ***es. Eli was ok not one i watched a lot but i did watch it. well, needless to say here's me saying drop dead ABC you have nothing left for me to watch, i'll go to NBC atleast they have more then crap shows.

Posted by christopher January 17, 09 05:42 PM
  1. I did not know ABC could air anything but trash until Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone was aired. I believed they were trying to brain wash the American public into believing that real life was as trashy as their shows. Even though Hot Sexy Money showed plenty of low moraled, interacial sex it at least had a main character that was straight and a very good cast. Eli Stone completely broke ABC's moral standard with a good cast and a theme that decent people would watch. I should have known ABC would either trash the shows or cancel them. If NBC or CBS had anything decent to watch as does FOX & SciFi, ABC would not have many.viewers.

  1. How the hell could the do that to pushing daisies!?!? I mean, it was one of the most visually amazing and interesting tv shows out there, especially for those of us who would frankly not want to want "reality" about people who can't sing or want to lose weight. ABC, im seriously disappointed

PUSHING DAISIES it is one of the best shows ABC has had on in years!
give it at least 7 seasons ,and run an extra early episode once a month in sequence on weekends for those who missed it the first time or for us that like the show.

Posted by Christie January 19, 09 01:52 PM
It was not just another show about Doctors. I could see myself watching this show longer than ER or Grey's. I think ABC is selling themselves short on getting rid of these shows. I was beginning to think that ABC had finally wised up and made a comeback. Guess not.

Well there went all the shows I watched on ABC... seriously I've never watched an episode of Lost or Grey's and from what I've heard I've missed nothing, I really like all three shows and made time to sit down and watch them every week. Granted Pushing Daisies was a little different but that was it's charm how many shows about a pie man who wake the dead with almost psychodelic background do we have in this world? DSM was like Dallas only better cause the clothes and hair were better we needed Dallas in our lives and Eli I always found it interesting and worth watching... for shame ABC... I'm watching FOX and NBC now...

  1. I am beyond distressed that all my favorite shows are being cancelled. At least continue making them for an online audience. Webisodes, something!!! I work in the entertainment field with live Las Vegas style acts and it is rare that something on tele genuinely catches my interest. Pushing Daisies is a unique, fresh, bright piece of literary mastery. It was quirky and made those in theatrics smile. A true piece of comedic genius. DSM was a soap for the evening. Drama at it's best. The characters were so developed. The script was phenominal. Superb cast. BUT of all the shows to cancel, Eli Stone? The most wholesome show to come on primetime; something I allowed my children to sit and enjoy with me. It was sublime content, intellectual levity, and musical theater brought to primetime. I am disappointed in the network execs that have made these shows that brought life to a quick and dirty fast food style reality TV station and made them disappear. We as viewers need our conclusions. We are left hanging here like chads in Florida. Please post, publish, employ these brillant screenwriters to write our ending if merely for the internet. Sincerely,

There are so many shows on the air right now that are just getting old so both of these shows where a wonderful escape from the norm. All of the characters were pretty easy on the eyes and talented. Are you really going to tell me we'll never find out who killed Nick's dad or if he was killed? I was really pissed when NBC cancelled Lip Stick (why btw?) and now ABC cancels Dirty & Daisies. 1. Too bad for Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies. ABC has been ruining shows for years. They bounce the shows from day to day and can't figure out why the shows have no following. They did it to NYPD Blue, Men IN Trees; the list goes on and on. Someone at ABC has to have some guts and stick w/ a show. It's not like they have much competition, Except for Mondays CBS has the same show over and over, just w/ different names. NBC is not much better.

  1. I was looking through my DVR to find when Pushing Daisies was coming back, but nothing was scheduled. So I looked it up online and came across this article in shock. What really makes me mad is not just the cancelling of a wonderful show, but the fact that ABC doesn't care enough about their viewers to at least let us have closure to the plot of the show. The last episode left us wondering about what was happening with Chuck's father? Ned's father had just appeared back and what was going to happen with him? Would we find out where he had been and why he had abandoned Ned as a child? Would the Aunts find out that Chuck was back? There were so many questions left unanswered. Yet ABC decided to let that be the last episode? Would it have been too much to ask for the series to complete the rest of the season and have closure then? It seems that ABC doesn't care about the veiwer loyalty to a program. It would have been like JR being shot in Dallas and then never return. Thanks for nothing ABC

  1. My two favorite shoes on television were Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone. I don't even own a TV but I signed onto just to watch these two amazing shows. I almost cried just now when a friend informed me that they'd both been canceled. They were both such life-embracing, uplifting, colorful shows that this country needed. Everybody needs a little pizazz in their lives, and these two shows had that and gave it freely and often. I will miss them terribly.
Now what will I watch? I guess this is a good enough excuse to stop watching television all together.

  1. I rarely watch ABC, but Eli Stone was one of my favorite shows. I can't believe they would rather bring back that boring snooze fest of a show "Life on Mars" than Eli Stone or Dirty Sexy Money. i hate reality shows. UGH, I am so mad

  1. So I guess I'm just one more on the list...but...I'm SO UPSET that they're cancelling Pushing Daisies!!! This is one of the only shows on tv that's not all about sex and stupid plot lines!! I'm 24 years old, and I'm SICK of all the "sex sells" shows. I loved the cinematography (if that's even how you spell it...or even what you call what I'm trying to say). I loved the bright colors, whimsy, the language and words that they used...ugh...I could go on forever! I'm seriously sad that this show is being cancelled! I could really watch this how everyday. I, along with apparently a lot of others, realy don't watch much on tv, but I loved this show and now I also have no cuse for ABC. So maybe they'll change their minds! We can only hope!

  1. This is unbelievable... I loved Pushing Daisies!! Who do I have to bombard with pleas to get it back on air !??? This is such a disappointment. This was a one of a kind show and really refreshing when compared to some of the other stuff on tv right now. I'm saddened to see it go... :-(

  1. Why ABC? I've supported you from the get go. My tv is always set to your channel, I've enjoyed many of the favorites in the past years. Pushing Daisy's was fun, almost sci-fi, visually stunning and had wedged into my heart. As for Eli Stone, I didn't care too much for it after the first big George Michael "dream". Dirty Sexy Money was also fun, thrilling and a delight to see "whodunit" or whose in trouble.
I loved the last episode also. I'm disgusted and while I still love Desperate Housewives and Grey's I may have to strike you down and switch to Fox.
Bring back Pushing Daisy's now please!

  1. Pushing Daisy's is the best thing on Tv. Fresh, funny, and most of all DIFFERENT!
The acting is fantastic, storys are interesting and funny. The show was probably over a lot of peoples heads. You kind of had to be smarter the an the average moron holding a remote.

So sad to see it go. The writers of this show, what an imagination! Fantastic!!

  1. Bring Pushing Daisies back! It's the most unique, refreshing show on TV. This is an outrage ABC!

  1. I, too, am angry at the cancelling of these shows. And the thing that gets me the most - is that no effort was made to switch around schedules to find the right niche. And, now we will never know what happens - I love DSM - I have been scouring the web looking for any information about the final few episodes - are they even going to air those??

  1. Pushing Daisies canceled? This is the most disappointed I've been since NBC canceled Las Vegas. Do me a favor ABC exects, pull your heads out your butts before you make another stupid decision like canceling "Lost", at which point I'll have no reason to view your network again! Morons!

  1. I loved Pushing Daisies. I am so disappointed and sad that it is essentially canceled. It is the most visually stimulating and original show that I've seen in a long time. It was the only show that my husband who has no patience for any network television shows whatsoever, was actually interested and looking forward to watching. Its very disappointing that the one original and interesting show that I could find on is no longer there for me.

  1. Pushing Daisies was quite a treat. Even when I missed a few episodes due to school and work. Watching the missed episodes online made any crappy day so much better.

I really love the referencing of FireFly being cancelled. Such a great show as well.

Ugh...At least we still have Daytime Soap Operas like One Life To Live. =P

  1. What I think is sad, is that America has been consumed with reality TV. Aren't your own lives filled with enough drama.
Pushing daisies was a breath of fresh air, from all the crap that is currently on T.V. Those who didn't enjoy it, simply can't appreciate something different and exciting. I am so upset that I can't even see the conclusion of the 2nd season b/c ABC just pulled the plug leaving everyone who was intensely watching the show at a dead stop. The show just won awards so apparently it was a well liked show and deserving of more than what ABC gave to it! Thank you ABC for making TV dull again!

  1. this is so typical!! all these great shows that i like to watch and they cancell them!! friggin morons!! ABC Stop thinking you know what the american people want to watch cause its obvious u dont, u keep cancelling shows that we like! dsm, daisies, eli, jericho, october road!! i think the ceo of abc needs to be fired, hes doing a crappy job keeping us happy, no wonder im always flipping cause, cause they keep canceling the good shows!!

  1. I really likek DSM. I also liked the Life on mars, but I am not sure which channel was... I am disappointed about it. I am tired to watch those stupid reality shows like Bachelor, DWS, American Idol and Momma's boy. I want to watch something fun, with good actors and good script. Not a bunch of dummies and rednecks. Looks like that's the only thing on ANY network right now

  1. Bring back Pushing up Daisies!!! Why must the networks continually schedule the same type of shows, oh, yeah, like we need more CSI please or ridiculous people who are idiots in these reality shows. Both Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies was unique and refreshing, but especially funny and unique was Daisies. Bring it back!!! Keep variety flowing. What are you Network people thinking!!!

Posted by Stephanie January 28, 09 02:59 PM
  1. NO! I swear I'll ban ABC if Pushing Daisies gets canned! Lost may be my favorite show to watch, but I'll be more than happy to unplug my TV again. I've only recently started watching TV again, after a three year break. I'll be happy to get more reading done.
ABC CAN NOT cancel Pushing Daisies without wrapping up the story! WTF! If they let Daisies fall off into oblivion without finishing the story, they can take all their programs straight to hell with them.
    Please excuse my language.

Posted by Eric Taus January 28, 09 04:17 PM
  1. RIP Daisies - Rip ABC - what a joke of a network - The only thing I will ever watch on that network again is some select college football - otherwise they are "dead" to me - maybe Ned could "touch" them.

  1. I cannot believe it was canceled. Screw all of you who are gald the show was canceled. I was entertained and happy to see a show that did not have to do with sex, sults and drugs on TV. What is this world coming to? The show had great plots, awesome sets and was fun. But I guess that is not what makes money these days since that is what is more important. What is this country coming to?

  1. I'm so tired of these networks starting shows, airing enough episodes to get us really interested and then canceling them without notice. There's no ending, no conclusion. We LOVED Dirty Sexy Money and looked forward to it every week. One of the best shows on television, but now it looks as if it's gone. Great. I have no plans to watch any new shows that come out this year because as soon as I get hooked, they get cancelled. I'm pissed. They want ratings? STOP CANCELING THE SHOWS WE LOVE! Seriously, enough is enough.

Posted by ApissedDSMfan January 28, 09 11:33 PM
  1. Unbelievable, Pushing Daisies was one of the most original and visually stunning shows on TV, including cable. It was one of only a handful of shows I looked forward to each week.

Posted by Chris January 29, 09 03:19 PM
  1. I wish ABC or Nielsen had poled me about these shows. Dirty Sexy Money was awesome and it was refreshing to have have a show the family could actually watch in Eli Stone.
I actually liked the quirkiness of Pushing Daisies...the set designes were fascinating!! Very Dr. Seuss!

  1. What's up with these guys/gals who are making the decisions as to whether or not to keep certain shows? To whom do they talk when deciding? I liked Eli Stone and Pushing Daisies. Thank you for keeping Private Practice! That's my favorite ABC show. ABC that leaves only two shows that I will continue to watch, Private Practice and Life on Mars. The rests of them Desparate Housewives, Lost and the rest of them are so overrated.

I could watch the first season over and over and never get tired of it. I guess now I have to find another good show, maybe I should just stick with The Simpson's and Family Guy. At least I know they will still be around for awhile. It's just rude for the show to be canceled.

ABS sucks--always has, always will.People that didn't like PD had no patience for original humor. Seinfled it wasn't, but it was lovely and quirky. I will miss Emerson Cod--hugely funny character.

  1. I agree with Post 3 - starts with I hate ABC. The show Traveller was great (guy is now a doctor on Grey's) and I was also upset when it was cancelled. The article up top talks about Pushing Daisies which I agree was a funny, quirky show but my husband got tired of it in the 2nd season, but didn't anyone watch Eli Stone. Quirky, funny, unrealistic but plausible. They did stretch the story line when the aneurism and gift jumped from Eli to his brother because of surgery and back with acceptance. Still great show!!!!

Posted by Michele Fleming February 6, 09 11:56 AM
  1. Well this stinks. ABC was the last of the big three networks that had any shows that I actually was willing to watch, I liked Eli and Daisies. Fox and TNT have much better shows these days, with more interesting story lines and characters. It is too bad that ABC just wants to do the same old thing, more cops, more "reality".

  1. Pushing Daisies was one of the most original, witty and entertaining programs on any channel. I suspect a quality show like Daisies was cancled to make room for one more mind numbing reality show. Foolish decision ABC.

Posted by Frank McClintock February 10, 09 06:00 PM
  1. How sad that ABC can take 2 of the best shows that they have broadcast in years--Eli and Pushing Daises--off the air. What is their criteria? Not enough dancing or pathetic drivel from a panel of inane, effete judges; maybe more live insect eating or tribal challenges!? It certainly wasn't because of witty, clever, scripts and inspirational themes that speak about the best in this world! No one at ABC really could have known what they had in their stable with these shows. It's a wonder ABC survives.

Of course ABC doesn't have any information on their website that indicates it's gone. There is NOTHING else on ABC worth watching, so bye bye! Hopefully an intelligent cable network will pick it up. Chuck and Ned forever...

Oh and how in the world is the Bachelor still on? or any of those mindless pieces of crap. 1. I followed Pushing Daisies from the very first episode and fell in love with the characters and story of Pushing Daisies! ABC probably had good viewing numbers and they obviously had a story planned out, so why the sudden cut-off on season two? I think if viewers want Pushing Daisies or any of the other shows back that had good reviews and loyal fans/viewers, we should write up a petition and gain 1,000-10,000 signatures to get Pushing Daisies back on air! If you think this is a good idea and want to get Pushing Daisies back on air email me with your name and I'll see if we can get this petition started. Contact me at!

  1. Man, to lose some good different shows like Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone sucks. I mean after seeing all the dumb sitcoms of man does something dumb, makes wife mad, wife gets revenge, man apologizes, wife apologizes, our brains melt to mush, and learn how bad relationships work; and then something original like Pushing Daisies comes along? Oh well back to homogenizing into the brainwashing mindless splatter of sitcom land. If there were actually good shows on TV I might watch it...Too bad the writers strike put a damper on the show, I would've liked to see it go for a few more seasons. And I only saw a couple episodes of Eli but I think it would've made a good show. Feel free to copy and paste my comment on a petition.

  1. I am still MOURNING the cancellation of Pushing Daisies. It was actually a show I could watch with my two teenagers and we'd laugh ourselves silly. With TVO, we would stop, rewind, watch a scene again, laugh our heads off, then do it again. The play on words, the acting, the story lines, the humor-IT WAS BRILLIANT! There is nothing else that compares to it. PLEASE bring it back!!!! P.S. Usually I'm not at all emotionally attached to ANY T.V. show but this one was different!

Not only was the acting brilliant, but it was well written - the sets were intriguing, and most importantly - it was an interesting show! It WAS different - a totally new spin on the murder mystery - it had romance - comedy - it had it all!! Why they heck you would kill it and keep The Bachelor, Wife Swap, and The beyond me. Please come to your senses and bring back PD!!

  1. You can imagine my suprise when I went online to catch up on "Pushing Daisies" and found that it wasn't there. I thought it must have been an error, but after reading this forum it appears that my worst nightmare is true. Of all the programs ABC broadcasts, and of all the show's they had on the chopping block, why did they have to choose the one with the most original storyline. Even if one didn't particularly like "P.D." they had to admit that it had appeal and originality. ABC made a grave mistake by cancelling what I believe to be the greatest show ever created. RIP P.D. hopefully you will be ressurected.

  1. "Pushing Daisies" was, frankly, the only series I was watching. Of course a TV network would remove something that was so imaginative! Like when they cancelled Creature Comforts. "Pushing Daisies" was engaging, fresh, and unique -- silly, maybe, but fun, funky and original, like nothing I've ever seen on television. Using actors drawn from stage instead of film created a whole new and appealing style of sitcom. And those sets and costumes so lively and vivid! I'm wicked disappointed!!!

It was a great show because it was different and quirky. I loved the whimsical settings, like the pie hole, and peculiar mysteries every week . It was just a really fun and original show. I just cant believe its gone.

  1. ABC has some problems and they don't know what appeals to the viewers. I guess they use some real dead beats instead of real people! How could Pushing Daisies get awards and then get cancelled?? Sounds like something personal. Soon we won't have any choices. Maybe we can vote ABC off the air and find a station that believes in actors and entertainment!

They think entertainment is watching no talented reality shows! The bad part is they're even adding more of that "mess" and less of the real shows.

Finally there was a show without all the sexual content splatted all over the screen, violence ripping every moment, and stupid lines filling up the gaps. What a perverted world we live in! I guess ABC doesn't like good, clean shows. Always have to throw the good ones down the pipe and let disgusting shows thrive. All about the money, GOOD FOR ABC, YOU SUCK!!!!!

  1. ABC is the king of cancellations. I never vest in an ABC original production because I know that lacking homosexual actors is the doom of all ABC shows.

Boston Legal barely survived by using black cross dressers, life size inflatable dolls and inanimate sex objects in lieu of homosexual actors.

ABC, the home of EyEwitLess News, is lowest of the corporate whores we call broadcast media.

  1. I,m getting really fed up with America bring out all these shows then taking them off I,ve lost count of the many show,s that i was watching and then just see them disappear.
I should be grateful that Bones and Cold case is still on come on America stop cancelling all these good show,s.
I love Pushing Daisies and Eli

  1. Pushing Daisies was awesome. Fuck ABC. The show was up for a good number of Emmy's and yet the show gets canceled. What is up with that bullshit. I really could give a shit now about ABC. The only other show I watch is One Life To abc can get Lost. Talk about a terrible show.....everyone is Lost when it comes to that show. It's like lets make this ridiculously confusing, twisty nonsense. they don't explain jack shit. get rid of that show and bring back PD!!!

  1. I just can't understand how they cancel some shows that are good and keep other stupid shows. Of course, i've never been one to agree with the masses, so I guess the fact that I actually loved Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone must mean that the masses didn't like it. yeah, it seems everyone likes fake reality shows. I guess the average person likes gossip... and to me, reality shows is like prying into someone's petty business. i like watching TV to escape the everyday crap, and Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone helped me to escape from reality. I hope they don't replace those shows with Reality FAKE TV!

    ARGHGH @#%$%@#$&

##$@# IT!!! ABC!! WHY?!?!? AARGHGHGH #@#%@2&@%@#*@*

  1. I thought daisies was different and a bit "old fashioned". Some might say the show was a little weird, but for me the weirderd the better. Too bad they can't find a way to let us know more about Ned's father. Will the decetive ever find his long lost daughter. I'll never know. Too bad for me.

  1. Why is it that you take shows off the air that appeal to people with an above average IQ and you continue to create the reality show drivel! Pushing Daisies was a wonderful show. Visually stimulating, interesting characters...good entertainment. I don't want to see women cat-fighting over men, or people taking ridiculous, contrived risks for money. Put Pushing Daisies back on the air. Everyone I know loved it!

  1. We finally had some decent TV shows that were original, funny, quarky, yet entertaining, and the were not reality shows, good god no more reality shows. I don't know about most, but I enjoyed Pushing daisies for its quarkyness. Take the Addams family and a less gruesome CSI, and you have pushing daisies.
Wasn't a huge fan of Dirty Sexy money, don't know it just didn't hit home for me.
But, Eli Stone was a good show that had an interesting story that you could actually sit at home and watch with kids in the room. It was funny and creative. I especially enjoyed Patti's attitude, that's what I thought were the major laughs. Well, sadly enough, say good-bye to two of the better shows on tv.

  1. I can't understand what was so good about Pushing Daisies, and I'm amused to read that it has the most ardent supporters... For me, it feels like a show for adolescents, but perhaps that's who's watching it?

DSM and Eli Stone on the other hand where good shows that I wouldn't mind seeing more of.

I am sorry if there are any mistakes with grammar....

  1. I miss Pushing Daisies!! It was a quirky show that had wonderful visuals and the dialog was exquisite. They always had interesting play on words and was more like watching a play then a gimmicky show.

  1. I cannot believe that they cancelled pushing daisies! I really miss Ned and Chuck! I love how they tell you exactly how old everyone was! With olive gone, who will pet poor Digby? :(

  1. Eli Stone started out as a show with promise, but went downhill quickly inserting ambiguous political messages and whatnot.
Jumping the shark in the first season (gay chimps, wtf?) was the first sign. I know it's set in SF, and if it were only viewed by people who lived there, that kind of preachiness might not be a bad idea, but when you have a nationwide show, you need to water down or eliminate the politics (which IMO is what killed the show).

It kind of reminds me of a BBC show called "Torchwood" in that the producer, director, writer (I don't know which) started out with a good show, but then as the show progressed, tried to find any reason, whether it was germaine to the scene or not, to insert a homosexual kiss. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it doesn't do much for your ratings when you never consider your audience. I think it's good to have political views and by all means, expressing them is one of the hallmarks of a free nation, but what writers, (or directors, producers) have to remember is that they're not creating a short-story where a single person is affected -- they're affecting the livelihood of the entire cast, the crew, the production company and so on. It looks like the execs at ABC understand this at least, or maybe they're just focusing on the ratings, who knows.

I hope that the very talented cast members are able to bounce back. Especially Loretta Devine and Julie Gonzalo (my two favorites). I did see Loretta back on Grey's, so maybe ABC is letting her act out her contract and not let the talent go to waste.

  1. ABC - WTF? Maybe you should consider changing your moniker.
Pushing Daisies was one of the most original and fun shows your network had. BLEW IT!
Why dont you turn into a reality crap network and get it over with already.
    Sooo disappointed in you.
Make better choices, consider asking the general public, keep an ear to the heartbeat of what people want. Stop asking 75 year old game show watching grandmothers.

  1. No wonder ABC doesn't have a following. They have cancelled all the top notch shows. 'Life on Mars' 'Dirty Sexy Money' 'Eli Stone'. They were good entertaining shows. I have had reality up to my neck! Life on Mars was one of the best shows on TV as was Dirty Sexy Money! Now I know why CBS is the best!

  1. I love Pushing Daisies, I think it is one of the coolest shows to come out recently.
It has a Dr. Seuss quality that is absolutely fantastic and it is stunning visually.
I'm really going to miss this show.

  1. We have watched all the episodes of Pushing Daisies....again....thanks to DVR. We had hoped the execs at ABC would have clued in by now that this is a show that could and should have been renewed.....Creative, clever story line, endearing characters, visually was the last ABC show we purposefully watched. Sorry ABC, you had your chance. I have scanned through the hundreds of posts and even this untrained marketing eye can see that this was an error in judgment. hmmmm.....I wonder if your advertisers also check the posts for viewer feedback?
Money usually follows the viewers.....where have yours gone?

  1. ABC SUCKS Big Time. They have no real shows on at all anymore, especially since cancelling Pushing Daisies. My Kids are even Pissed. So to ABC, You get the big YOU SUCK AWARD. NBC, CBS, FOX, and the CW channel overule you CLOWNS..

  1. i thought Daisies was an amazon show; they need to bring it back somehow, if not then put the shows on DVD for the people who loved it to see. I know Daisies was different, but i think that is what we need; there are too many shows that people can just predicted. that is so boring! Daisies was exiting, you never were what was going to happen, i love shows like that. people can't handle different, they did the same thing to Wonderfalls, that was weird and so awesome. Moreover, i hope they ether bring Daisies back or continue the show on DVD.

  1. ABC, DO NOT CANCEL PUSHING DAISIES! I GOT INTO IT LATE, AND I AM SORRY FOR THAT, BUT I LOVE THIS SHOW! It is so unique and original. I will send letters every-damn-day if I have to, just leave it on the air. I don't want to read it in a comic book, I want the visually compelling greatness. I don't understand how you can cancel this in good conscience. Money or not, this show is phenomenal. Whatever it takes, I will put my TV on your station all day everyday if you just keep that show on the air. Don't even think about it, just do it and I will keep my end of the deal. GIVE ME BACK MY SHOW OR I WILL CANCEL YOU!

  1. I have stopped watching ABC altogether ever since the day the good shows ended.
    They SUCK!!!
    All their shows SUCK!
I stopped watching Ugly Betty and Grays the writing became repetitive and boring.
You take off the best shows and write crappy story lines for the only shows you had left.

Posted by Danielle May 3, 09 10:40 PM
  1. I love Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone. I am very dissapointed to see them. Along with Ugly Betty, they were the only shows that I really watched on network television. I hope some other station is wise enough to pick the up. The could be a hit for a network like the CW.

  1. I've been waiting for Dirty Sexy Money to start up again, like it did last year. I've just now looked at different sites and found out it is cancelled. Aren't 6 million + viewers good enough to keep a show on??? I'm really annoyed. I wish they would bring it back. It's a unique show with money, glamour and lots of drama.

    Posted by Marian B May 27, 09 11:25 PM
  1. Pushing Daisies was an amazing show. Well written and beautiful to watch. I am very sad to hear it has been cancelled. I was wondering why I had not heard anything about it on TV lately. I am very disappointed that it was not given enough time to have a conclusion. So much of the story line was left open. I really hope they change their minds and bring it back or another network picks it up.

  1. I cant believe it, I have bought the two seasons after getting really into it on ITV, and was looking forward to the next, I really cant stand American tv shows and will try to avoid them in the future at least with home grown programmes we are near guarantied that a show will have a good run and a proper ending. It was the only decent thing that we have had on ITV in a long while, and just shows what a bunch of capitalist pigs America is run by, when will British tv execs realise they should be importing shows from countries that give a damn, and stop wasting the British publics time on dead end shows.

  1. There are very few shows that capture the imagination like Eli Stone. I love that it is also family friendly. Why would the network cancel it. I think I will stick to cable. The networks do not seen to be interested in good shows ... only cheap reallity mess.

  1. In regards to Eli Stone, there are so few family shows that have good morals and are fun to watch. Why take away this awesome show? Our family truly enjoyed this show from day 1 and have been devoted fans. There are so many questions left unanswered - and will Eli and Maggie finally get together?

  1. Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone were two of my favorite shows to watch on ABC, why do they keep taking away all the really good shows that actually make people think, smile, cry, etc.? I really hope they reconsider and bring these two shows back. (pleae bring them back!!!!)

  1. Pushing Up Daisies was the best show I have seen. It was so original, visually stunning, and the caharacters were magnificient! I cannot believe it is cancelled!!!! I am so disappointed! BRING IT BACK ABC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Well, the final episode was rushed, and could have been done better, but at least it was given an honorable curtain call.

I still cry "encore," but I receded my banning of ABC the night it aired.

With such a devoted following, I would suggest a yearly hour episode.

When is the Series being released to DVD?
