The White Queen Saturday at 9 p.m., Starz
This gauzy 10-part show is a must-see for those who love the Philippa Gregory “Cousins’ War” novels on which it is based. Set during the War of the Roses in the 15th century, it’s royal melodrama at its juiciest. It’s like an aphrodisiacal “Game of Thrones,” with lots of bodices ripped, plots hatched, and crowns coveted. And this is a must-not-see for those who don’t like their historical fiction loaded up with romance and untethered to facts. Max Irons, Jeremy Irons’ son, stars as King Edward IV, and he looks like a young Tom Berenger. I must admit it, your grace: I am hooked.
