A Boston Premiere by Kristoffer Diaz. Having just won the Obie for Best New American Play, this Pulitzer finalist is as hilarious as it is relevant. Mace is a professional wrestler. He’s a really good professional wrestler. He’s not the champion though – that’s the impossibly charismatic Chad Deity. When Mace discovers a young Indian-American Brooklyn kid whose charisma rivals that of the champ, Mace decides to get him a job in the company. Only problem is, the boss has a very specific plan for the duo! A serious minded comedy about wrestling, geopolitics, and raisin bread. “This dynamite show is like Tarantino tackling the WWF.” - New York Post

Fittingly, the eponymous IPG exhibition features a lineup of poster favorites, hand-selected by gallery staff members. Included are coveted posters like Arnold Skolnick’s iconic “3 Days of Peace & Music” design for the Woodstock music festival; Edward Penfield’s whimsical World War I poster for the War Garden Commission; and Roger Broder’s sun-drenched depiction of an exclusive Antibes resort, an advertisement for trips on PLM railways. Two-for-one admission offered during Summer Arts Weekend. The Otis House is the last surviving mansion in what was Boston’s most elite eighteenth-century neighborhood. Charles Bulfinch designed the house for Harrison Gray Otis. Otis was a lawyer who made a fortune developing nearby Beacon Hill, served in Congress, and was a mayor of Boston. The Otis House is the first of three houses Bulfinch designed for Harrison Gray Otis and his wife Sally Foster Otis. The house’s design reflects the classical proportions and delicate detail of the Federal style. Visitors learn about the upper-class Otis family, life in the Federal era, and the later history of the house, when it served as a clinic and boardinghouse. The restoration of the Otis House and its brilliantly colored wallpapers, carpeting, and high-style furnishings, is based on meticulous historical and scientific research.
