10. Changes on Lansdowne Street
In the good old days, displaced rockers wandered onto Landsdowne Street after Avalon shows ended at 10 p.m. and watched as club kids lined up, waiting for the venue to turn into the dance club Axis. Then in 2007, the space closed. Buying the property, Live Nation New England converted it into a 53,000-square-foot House of Blues, the largest rock club in Boston.
