Malden artist Sand T, known for her resin paintings, hosts a party Saturday for "Up-Close-And-Personal," her new show in the Little Gallery Under the Stairs, which, as its name suggests, is a small gallery on the bottom floor of the LynnArts building. The display is Sand T's take on language, memory, and combining cultures. The mixed-media paintings, with materials like floor plans and multilingual diary entries, should remind you of scrapbooks. Reception on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. Show up tomorrow through Jan. 17. The Little Gallery Under the Stairs, 25 Exchange St., Lynn. 617-281-1935. www.galleryunderthestairs.com MEREDITH GOLDSTEIN
