RadioBDC is serious about our commitment to great music, so every Tuesday we scour the Boston music scene to pick out the best of the best.
Here are this week's picks.
Tuesday, March 12
Tame Impala's psychedelic sounds will be at House of Blues with The Growl. ($20 / all ages / Doors at 7 p.m.)
Trailblazers of alt rock Fishbone are at The Sinclair with The Nephrok! Allstars and Brunt of It. ($16 / 18+ / Doors at 8 p.m.)
The fabulous Kate Nash is with Supercute! at The Paradise Rock Club. The show was moved over from Brighton Music Hall, due to overwhelming demand. ($24 / all ages / Doors at 7 p.m.)
Wednesday, March 13
Rockplast, a glam/punk/new wave/synth pop dance party (formerly of O'Brien's Pub), comes to T.T. the Bear's. DJ Rory Stark is joined by Mei Ohara and Wave///length. ($7 / 18+ / Doors at 8 p.m.)
Folksy indie rockers take the stage at the Middle East Upstairs. Chill out with Holly McGarry, Grey Season, The Sun and the Moon, and Licious. Cross your fingers for a rendition of "I'm Only Sleeping" from Berklee duo The Sun and the Moon. ($9 / 18+ / Doors at 8 p.m.)
Thursday, March 14
Jukebox The Ghost and Matt Pond PA at Brighton Music Hall. ($17 / all ages / Doors at 6 p.m.)
Friday, March 15
Jet Black Sunrise hosts a CD release party at the Middle East Downstairs, with Nikolas Metaxas, Jeff Beam (of Milkman's Union), The New Complainers, and The Flo ($12 / 18+ / Doors at 7:30 p.m.)
Dropkick Murphys kick off their Boston weekend at the TD Garden. ($50+ / all ages / Doors at 7:30 p.m.)
Saturday, March 16
Dropkick Murphys make their way to the Brighton Music Hall, but wristbands are only being sold in two places (North Star Bar and McGreevys Bar). They'll be playing the 1999 album “The Gang’s All Here” in its entirety — for the first time ever — according to their website. This is not to be missed. ($25 per wristband, cash only / 18+ / Doors at 7 p.m.)
STRFKR plays The Paradise with Blackbird Blackbird, but be careful - it's sold out and we heard the Stubhub prices are crazy. Still, this band is worth it if not just for the name. ($20+ / 18+ / Doors at 8 p.m.)
Sunday, March 17
Dropkick Murphys will play their traditional St. Patty's show at House of Blues. Let the green beer flow! (Prices vary / all ages / Doors at 6 p.m.)
