This all started with some of our friends in the Globe Media Lab. Erin and Emera decided it would be fun to have a "Grunge Day" at break out the flannel, Docs, thermals, old concert tees, and pretend it's the early 90's all over again. And with Kurt Cobain's birthday looming on February 20th, we pretty much had the day picked out for us.

Now, all we needed was the right soundtrack to transport us back to those carefree days of yore, where Adam 12 could be seen cruising in his 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo, wearing out the cassette copies of 'Ten' and 'Dirt' and 'Badmotorfinger' he'd bought at the old Strawberry's on Route 1 in Saugus. Lucky for us, you came through with some killer requests for the 4:00 Free-For-All. We've posted them below.

Nirvana "Breed"

Mother Love Bone "Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns"

Pearl Jam "Yellow Ledbetter"

Temple Of The Dog "Hunger Strike"

Screaming Trees "Nearly Lost You"

Tribe "Abort"

Alice In Chains "Got Me Wrong"

Stone Temple Pilots "Creep"

Soundgarden "Outshined"

Smashing Pumpkins "Drown"

Great work, really. We'll do this again sometime. And make Chris Rattey and Adam 12 break out their flannels again. Don't they look 90s-licious?
