Huge news here at RadioBDC, as Dropkick Murphys will play Live in the Lab next Thursday at 12:30 p.m. The Boston celtic punk and hardcore staple will play a set to a small crowd at the Globe Media Lab, and beginning Monday you can win your way in by listening to RadioBDC and by visiting our web site. So stay tuned for ways to win, but as always, you will be able to watch it all live at Boston.com. Bookmark that page for all of our Live in the Lab performances.
The Dropkick Murphys are getting set to release their eighth studio album, "Signed and Sealed in Blood" (pre-order here) in early January. At that time, the band will kick off a worldwide tour in Dublin that will wind its way to Boston on and around ... you guessed it ... St. Patrick's Day. RadioBDC is already giving tickets away to the TD Garden Show on our Get Stuff page.
But before all that happens, Dropkick Murphys will swing by our Morrissey Boulevard set for a one-of-a-kind live experience brought to you by Killians Irish Red. Listen in for ways to win, or join us live online that day. Until then, let us rock. And we also dusted off an old (from 2005 ... so like 50 years old in internet age) audio slideshow from the Boston.com attic. This is a little behind-the-scenes, history of Dropkick Murphys courtesy of Ken Casey after the band released The Warrior's Code. Enjoy.

Boston Globe Political Editor Glen Johnson breaks down the "fiscal cliff," because we here at RadioBDC are a bunch of dummies & need things put in layman's terms, thankyouverymuch.
Thea Singer-Santoro (hmmm...sounds familiar) joins Henry & Julie to review this year's production of The Nutcracker at The Opera House.
Oxley "Ginologist" Jamie Evans talks gin and cold distilling and gin and mixing and, most importantly, gin.
Brett from 90+ Cellars stopped by to talk wine! Julie & Henry were more than happy to take a few bottles off his hands.
Lori Ehrlich is the State Representative for the Massachusetts 8th Essex District. She joined Julie Kramer & Henry Santoro to talk about the plastic bag ban and the environment in general.

Are you a fan of London Calling? Getting into BDC Remixed? Or are you just fond of the little bits & pieces you hear in between the songs on RadioBDC? Paul Armstrong has his hands in all of those things here at RadioBDC. Meet the man.
Boston punk legends Street Dogs continue their "Wreck The Halls" holiday tradition with back-to-back shows at the Paradise. Click here 411 on the Friday, December 21st show, or here for the skinny on the Saturday, December 22nd performance.
Frontman (and former Boston Globe employee!) Mike McColgan, born & raised in Dorchester, started his punk rock career as a founding member and lead singer of the Dropkick Murphys. He left the Murphys in 1998 to become a firefighter for the Boston Fire Department, but felt music calling to him, so in 2002 he founded Street Dogs. He took a leave of absence from the BFD in 2004 and has been devoting his time to Street Dogs ever since.
Adam 12, being the fanboy that he is, begged Mike to bring the boys by for a Live in the Lab performance. Mike, being the stand-up guy that he is, was more than happy to oblige. So stay tuned to win your way into Street Dogs, Live in the Lab on Thursday, December 20th!
Chris Gasper wraps up Pats/Jets (RIP, Fireman Ed), previews Pats/Dolphins, and even talks a bit of Sox this week.
Henry Santoro welcomes Elizabeth Comeau to talk about the hazards of energy drinks and where you find the germiest place in a restaurant.
The Festival of Trees marks the official start to the Holiday season. Its a magical event annually held by the Festival of Trees Inc., a nonprofit organization in the Merrimack Valley.
Companies and families donate a tree, dress it in over the top decorations, and pack it with presents. Hundreds of trees are lined up and bid on during a two week period.
Although we love our tree (and hope it gets lots of bids) we couldn't help but stroll through the rows of trees and snap some pics of our favorites.
Lego mania! Wonder how long it took to make that helicopter?! That takes skill.
The festival is going on until Saturday, December 1st so you still have time to come by and bid on the RadioBDC tree. Good Luck!

Not to brag, but this is kind of a big deal. We hoodwinked The Gaslight Anthem into stopping by the Globe Media Lab before their big rock n' roll show on Monday the 26th at the House of Blues. It'll probably look and sound something like this, except just a bit quieter. And without the David Letterman intro.
Their latest work with the victims of Sandy has caught the attention of The Rolling Stone and Mark Cuban. Cuban sent out this tweet to his 1.3 million followers on Nov. 20:
http://t.co/1rulsau7…. Great job by Gaslight Anthem supporting Sandy victims

Tune in Monday, November 19th at 10a, as Dicky Barrett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones will join Julie Kramer. He has a pretty exciting announcement to make!
The last time Dicky was on air at RadioBDC was our first day on air. He helped us launch the station on August 13th because you chose one of his songs as the very first song we played:
Courtney Love working on Kurt Cobain documentary
She is apparently joining forces with Rolling Stones collaborator Brett Morgen on the film.
News of the film comes after Love denied rumours that a Broadway musical based on Cobain was in the works.
Paul Driscoll is beside himself with glee. Prominent Irish indie rockers Ash will be stateside, playing Great Scott in Allston on Wednesday, November 21st. And since they're in town, and seeing as Paul is such a huge fan, why not have them perform Live in the Lab, right?
Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 we'll stream video here and stream audio here of Ash Live in the Lab. Of course, it would be great to see it in person, right? Get out of work early before the Thanksgiving holiday weekend? Right? RIGHT! Keep listening to RadioBDC; we'll have plenty of chances for you to see Ash Live in the Lab. In the meantime, take a look at a classic live performance of theirs.
Boston Globe & Boston.com sports scribe Eric Wilbur joins Adam 12 to break down the shady business of the blockbuster Miami/Toronto trade and the impact it could have on the Red Sox and the AL East.
Pie! The lovely Stephanie Carrigg from Community Servings stopped by with pie! So did CEO David Waters. Listen to the podcasts to learn more about Pie In The Sky 2012--the 20th anniversary! And don't forget to visit http://pieinthesky.org to get your pie for a good cause!
The question has plagued aging Gen-Xers & even some Millennials for some time now. This video does a pitch-perfect job of explaining why. But be warned: it hits pretty close to home, too.
See what we mean?
Chris Gasper of the Boston Globe recaps Pats/Bills & previews Pats/Colts, including a breakdown of Andrew Luck. Is his red-hot start more about his last name or more about his instinct & skill? Listen:
Ten Days into Movember and Adam 12 has already tapped out. Not that he didn't give it a good effort. See, this is what 12 looks like with 10 days growth:
Itchy as all get-out. So off he goes to carve out a mo. Handlebars, anyone?
Yeah, not so much. How 'bout just a standard, run-of-the-mill mustache?
Horrifying. So off it came.
Check back tomorrow, as we'll chart Henry Santoro's Movember progress. In the meantime, click here to say 'yay' or 'nay' to some more Boston.com staff 'staches.
