2002:

Animated band members pop up on the April 7 episode of The Simpsons, "Weekend at Burnsie's". The show features the band playing "Run Like An Antelope", complete with Simpsons secret language.

Anastasio's self-titled debut album is released in April, as is the next series of "Live Phish." McConnell's record, "Vida Blue," is released in June, while Fishman's solo work, "Pork Tornado," is released after two years in the making. Gordon begins tracking "Clone" with Leo Kottke.

Phish announces it will end its hiatus in August, and starts rehearsing at The Barn. The rehearsals lead to recording sessions that result in the December release of "Round Room," the band's first studio album in two years.

For the first time in over two years, Phish takes the stage to a deafening crowd roar at a New Year's Eve show in Madison Square Garden.
