"Life," Keith Richards / "The Lost Rolling Stones Photographs, the Bob Bonis Archive, 1964-1966," Larry Marion
The Rolling Stones guitarist lays it all bare in his engrossing new memoir. At times hilarious, poetic, revelatory, repellant, outraging, poignant, and loopy, Richards opines on everything and everyone he loved and tangled with, from family to music to his bandmates to women to drugs to the musicians who inspired him. The late Bob Bonis, an early tour manager for both the Stones and the Beatles, was an avid amateur photographer. His collection of photos of the group (many never published before) doing everything from bowling to giving each other haircuts make an interesting companion to Richards' musings.
