As an avowed Red Sox fan and a local musician it was only a matter of time before James Taylor put in an appearance at one of the annual "Hot Stove, Cool Music" shows. It was announced today that JT will join the already announced line-up (Howie Day, Furvis, Click Five, Cowboy Mouth, Kay Hanley, the Gentlemen, Ayla Brown and Buffalo Tom featuring Red Sox GM Theo Eptein) for the Fenway Park show next Wednesday night.
Tickets are $50, $75 and $100 and are on sale now at redsox.com or by calling 877-RED-SOX9. Gates are at 5:00 p.m. and the show starts at 6:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Epstein's "Foundation to Be Named Later," a branch of the Red Sox Foundation.
Just in case Mr. Taylor is curious, "Sound Effects" has these suggestions for his setlist: "Summer's Here," "Shed a Little Light," "I Will Follow" and, of course, "October Road" (aka the path we'd like to see the Sox on).
