James Levine will be part of the Tanglewood scene in 2011.

James Levine will open the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Tanglewood season on July 8 with an all-Italian program, including excerpts from Bellini’s “Norma’’ and Verdi’s “I Lombardi.’’ Later in the month he will lead the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra and vocal soloists including baritone José van Dam in a concert performance of Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande.’’ These and other details of ...
