Eminem's ex-wife appears in court

MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. -- Eminem's ex-wife appeared in court on a bench warrant after skipping two separate court hearings.

Kim Mathers was arraigned Tuesday in a Macomb County court on charges connected to the two missed dates, WDIV-TV in Detroit reported.

Mathers, 28, posted a $50,000 bond and left. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Dec. 18.

She failed to appear in Warren District Court on Nov. 6 for an arraignment on charges of running a drug house. The charges stem from a Sept. 29 hotel party in the city.

Mathers' lawyer, Michael Smith, had said he didn't know where she was and hadn't spoken to her since Oct. 30.

District Judge John Chmura subsequently issued the bench warrants.

Mathers was also supposed to attend a hearing on Nov. 4 for violating the conditions of her bond in a St. Clair Shores drug case.

In that case, Macomb County Circuit Judge Edward Servitto issued a warrant when Smith said he couldn't reach Mathers after she missed the hearing.

Mathers and the Grammy-winning rap star, whose legal name is Marshall Mathers III, married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. They have a daughter together, Hailie Jade.
