'The Karate Kid'

The Karate Kid

(1984)

At first, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio, right) is no match for the well-trained Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), who beats up Daniel at every opportunity. The rivalry deepens as Daniel begins to date Johnny's ex girlfriend Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue, left), which only makes Johnny's harassment worse. Daniel begins to study karate under Mr. Kesuke Miyagi, enters a tournament against Johnny and his team, and ultimately prevails over his foe.
