It's age before beauty in a number of recent releases.
Johnny Knoxville puts on piles of latex to play the title geezer in “Bad Grandpa;” Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline (when did he get old?) act their age in “Last Vegas; and Bruce Dern makes a comeback as the crapulous coot in “Nebraska” (opens November 22). So old age has its consolations, especially on the screen, where geriatric characters have inspired some great performances. Which old roles have aged best?
