The wait is over.
"50 Shades of Grey" author E.L. James used Twitter on Monday to announce that the leading man and leading lady for the film adaptation of the bestselling book have been chosen.
James released the news in a series of four tweets this morning.
First up, she teased fans with a message to hold on to their hats:

Then, the news about Johnson, who is the daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.
I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.— E L James (@E_L_James) September 2, 2013
Up next, she made her followers wait to find out about Christian's fate.
