Funny lady Kristen Wiig signs on to 'Anchorman' sequel
Kristen Wiig, former "Saturday Night Live" cast member and star of the silver screen comedy "Bridesmaids," signed on to the "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" sequel, "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," according to the film's director, Adam McKay.
McKay, who also directed "Step Brothers," tweeted the news yesterday.

One of the film's stars, Christina Applegate, tweeted her excitement about the addition to the cast.

Fans of characters Brick, Veronica, Ron, and Brian will have to wait a few more months for the much-anticipated release. The film is due out Dec. 20, just in time for the holiday movie rush, more than nine years after its predecessor.
