Center Field: Willie Mays Hayes: "Major League (1989) The strange career of Wesley Snipes follows the same physical trajectory of Barry Bonds. Willie Mays Hayes, like Pirates-era Bonds, is a spindly speedster, whereas Snipes in "Blade" has put on 100 pounds of muscle and can barely fit his huge noggin through the neck hole of a T-shirt. I'm not saying there's rampant PED abuse in Hollywood, but lately Snipes makes Ed Norton in "American History X" look like DJ Qualls. But in that earlier, more entertaining incarnation, Willie Mays Hayes almost certainly reached his goal of stealing 100 bases in a season. That's something only the likes of Rickey Henderson, Vince Coleman, and Lou Brock have achieved.
