We’ve already told you this, but the Massachusetts Film Office confirmed yesterday that “R.I.P.D.,’’ the Ryan Reynolds-Jeff Bridges movie about a deceased cop hunting down his killers, will be filming locally this fall. The MFO - which is now run by Lisa Strout - said in a press release yesterday that the project will create jobs. “It is a chance to prove that we can handle any size, type and genre of film and that we have world-class crew, talent and business bases,’’ Strout says in the release. We hear that sets for the film are already being put together in Hyde Park. We also hear that Mary-Louise Parker has joined the cast. According to Variety, she replaces Jodie Foster, who had been interested in the part. Boston Casting has already started looking for extras for the film. Casting directors sent out a note yesterday evening saying that they need forklift operators and baseball players.
