Justin Bieber's video for "Beauty and a Beat," featuring Nicki Minaj, debuted on Oct. 12 and has already crossed the 100 million-view threshold. How does he do it? We may never know. But what we do know is that those songs are catchy, and having one of the hottest contemporary rappers on his track probably didn't hurt. Nicki Minaj picked up the American Music Award for rap/hip-hop artist of the year and rap/hip-hop album of the year at the awards show in Los Angeles this November. She also came under fire for being an African-American woman supporting Mitt Romney when she rapped that she was a "Republican voting for" the presidential candidate on a Lil Wayne mixtape. She later went on to claim that she was being sarcastic in a Tweet, saying, "Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm, Mr. President." Minaj's support of the Republican candidate turned out to be a joke, much like the "Gangnam Style" parody created in Mitt Romney's likeness. Haven't seen it? We've saved the best for last. Go on to the next slide and follow the beat one last time.
