Last week Cooks Source magazine, based in Western Massachusetts, was accused of publishing an entire article without getting the writer’s permission or paying her. When the writer, Monica Gaudio, complained, the magazine’s editor, Judith Griggs, told Gaudio in an e-mail that all content on the Internet is “public domain’’ (which of course is not true).
