'I'm very much a black and white person,' says interior designer John Stefanon, pictured sitting on the bar of the new club District that he recently designed. He found a swatch of black and white fabric sporting an intense floral pattern and brought it to a local artist, who then super-sized the motif on a series of the circular, black and white ceiling panels. Stefanon happened across the pendant lamps after discovering the fabric. 'I think they do what the birch does, which is give you a sense that you're being enveloped by nature.'
