What can you do with a canvas, five brushes, and black, white, red, yellow, and blue paint? Those are among the supplies handed to competitors in Paint Nite , a freestyle painting contest held in honor of the social painting company’s second anniversary.
Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will create a painting to be featured in a silent auction at the end of the night, along with competitors’ paintings. Proceeds go to the National Brain Tumor Society.
The business, which started as an idea scrawled on the back of a napkin, now hosts more than 1100 artsy social events every month in 77 cities.
Paint Nite is a social event as much as a creative one, so in addition to the art-making there’ll be drinks, a photo booth, and tunes spun by DJ Iron Man Dave.
