The Public Library of Brookline’s Coolidge Corner Branch will host a free screening of an Emmy-nominated television documentary about Filene’s Basement, and the people who worked and shopped there, at 2 p.m. Sunday. Directed by Michael Bavaro, “Voices From the Basement’’ is a collection of stories told by people who worked and shopped at the store, which had become a tourist attraction before closing its doors in Boston’s Downtown Crossing on Sept. 3, 2007. The film premiered on WGBH-TV in December 2010 . Seating for the screening at the library, at 31 Pleasant St., is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
