James Levine chatted with Terry Gross on "Fresh Air" today, ostensibly to promote a new book, "James Levine: 40 Years at The Metropolitan Opera," and the PBS documentary, "James Levine: America's Maestro," which premieres June 1. (You can read The Wall Street Journal's ambivalent review of the book here.) Levine, who recently resigned from the BSO due to chronic health problems, says he still suffers from back problems.
