The wife of former Pats tight end Christian Fauria was arrested Tuesday on charges of domestic assault. Rhonda Fauria was arrested after police found scratches on Fauria's face and chest, and a bruise on his left shin. According to police, Rhonda Fauria summoned officers to the couple's home in Westwood Estates off Landry Avenue in North Attleboro shortly after 9 a.m. Her husband drove off in a Cadillac Escalade, but was stopped by an officer nearby. The couple, who is going through a divorce, blamed each other for the fight, which apparently started after the former football player dropped the children at school. Rhonda Fauria told police her husband grabbed her arms and shook her, but Lt. David Dawes said officers couldn't find any sign of injury. (Police took photographs of both parties.) "It's our duty to determine who the aggressor was," said Dawes. "What happens in court is a different matter." Rhonda Fauria, 37, pleaded innocent in Attleboro District Court. Her 39-year-old husband, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 250 pounds, did not require medical attention. He appears on WEEI's "NFL Sunday" show and also co-hosts "Dirty Water TV" on NESN.
